Season 3 is heading to tribble right now!

This push does NOT have UGC active, but it has a ton of other features such as the art revamp of sector space.

We're looking forward to your bug reports and qualitative feedback!

Full patch notes here.

Since, it's heading to Tribble now, I can spill the beans on the artwork for Sector Space (as it's also in the Tribble notes):
    • You have two modes of viewing sector space:
      • Astrometrics enabled: you have very faint, tiny gridlines and rotating star-system models on thin lollipops - it's not nearly as colorful as before. Think of Pelia and Orellius Sector Space (but prettier - see below)

      • Astrometrics Disabled: No grids, no lollipops, and no rotating star systems. Stars appear as flickering objects that can grow in size to spheres on approach.

    • On top of these modes, you also have:
      • "Flavor text" and "System Briefings" that appear as tooltips when mousing over a system or when adjacent to one.

      • Starlines: Yes - warp speed finally has starlines too! These are the classic white lines - not the rainbow lines from Enterprise.

Sounds like Space is finally becoming "Space" for those that want it anyway. :D

Since it's going to Tribble, I can say that it feels far, far more vast.

Anyone that remembers the boxes from prior to Season 2 will be happier. :)

Don't think it's like EVE - it still has some things similar but it feels a lot better than before.

The "flavor text" around each system and the warp starlines made me hum whooshing sounds when I first played it! :D

You feel like you're going at warp too!

It feels more like a "final frontier" than ever before.

Go to sector space and engage full warp once you load tribble to see the starlines

Such a small change yet It's so epic!

Due to the fact I have a pair of toddlers, my playing time is limited to Holodeck. Could some of you post screenshots of some the new features?

This father of two would be grateful...

I'll post it once it is officially out of the gate on tribble - unless the devs greenlight it now.

Please keep in mind this is an early Season 3 release candidate and there are several features and updates that are still WIP or even turned off.

Our primary goal with pushing this early build to tribble is to shake down some server and performance issues while allowing players to see some of the new things coming in Season 3.

The Foundry will NOT be available in this weekends build as the Foundery is still in Closed Beta.

Can you tell me what the borg pieces are going to look like, what each one's function is currently slated for, and when we might be able to test them?...

P.S.: Where is the customization for these KDF ships?
