I believe there is still an issue in 'spin the wheel', where the klingon and fed dialogue seams to be mixed up.
the feds threaten to rip out the ferengi's spine and the klingons have an option to ask nicely.
I don't think that's a mistake. Certainly not from the reaction Belan gives. I tried it on my Klingon and picked the dialogue option "I humbly request blah blah..." and the response Belan gives is something like "What the heck? A Klingon being humble... something's not right here, get out!"
So it made total sense. If a Fed gave that dialogue, then Belan's reaction wouldn't be appropriate. Think about it.
I haven't tried the "I'll rip your head off" option for Feds, but I imagine Belan's response is something like "What the heck? A Federation captain using violence? Something's not right here, get out!"
The whole point of those actions is to be a fail response, because you aren't responding in character.

Edit: Salami Inferno beat me to it.
My Fed did try to rip his head off because Belan is a tool. But alas, he tossed me out....
The fed saying such a thing is so out of character that the ferengi doesn't buy it and the mission fails.
The klingon acting polite is so out of character that the ferengi thinks theres something up and the mission fails.
oh ok, fair enough. it still seams the wrong way round, as when you play it you expect a klingon to lose his patience and threaten him. i dont see a fed ever saying that even in jest/mocking.
perhaps giving players all options and then let them play how they want.
its still fairly obvious that bribing him is the course to go but some klingons might enjoy trying to scare him first.

maybe i did not pay enough attention to the ferengi's counter dialogue. im pretty sure when i pressed the 'rip spine out' he acted offended as anyone would do (although he was a lot braver than if a real klingon has said it)

Yep, made total sense to me. I nearly laughed my head off when I threatened the guy on my Fed (I had just been playing my Klingon for a while, I was still in that mindset ) and it failed. Brilliant!
(My fleet mate: Ok.. think nice... happy thoughts.. no death and destruction and conquest.. *HAPPY* *THOUGHTS*..)
Wanna know what's funny, I didn't lock the door. I just went right into the Jeffries tube. I stayed in that room long enough for them to start attacking and then went right into the Jeffries tube. Then I never saw that team again. They must have stayed in that room trying to figure out how to go up the tube. I got the accolade without issue.
Tried that workaround, but unfortunately it didnt work.
As soon as I came out of the jeffries tube, while the boff dialogue window was still open I paused time, droped a boff waypoint next to me, set passive mode and then unpaused time, moved forward a little bit and then clicked continue on the dialogue window and my boffs appeared beside me.
Well, most times anyway. The last time I did it they ran through the station in passive mode and didn't aggro anyone. They even crashed into the TOS guy walking back and forth. So I managed to complete the mission anyway.

The fix is unfortunately not retroactive, however according to the designer the next time through it should complete properly.
