You guys still haven't fixed High Yield, or mines.

I've already had it happen, use a High Yield the ability had it go into a -global- cooldown and no high yield on my plasmas.

So that is still broken.

Have also had my plasmas go into an -extra- cooldown upon successfully activating High Yield. So that's still broken.

I've also had plasma mines misfire and a fleet mate had a tric mine mis fire.

Weapons misfire all the time. It's a huge problem that at this point I doubt they'll ever fix. Because of this issue I tend to absolutely hate weapons with large cooldowns since half the time they'll completely fail to fire and go on cooldown anyways.

supposedly the tric mines, and tric torps were fixed, in this morning's patch.

Nice to see stuff is still broken.

Makes me wonder if the turrets are still bugged. (I've switched to plsama mines for the time being as my 3rd aft weapon... it's STILL better for my damage even after misfires, than bugged turrets.)

The notes claim to have fixed the misfire but I doubt it has. :p

I've had my plasma mines misfire recently. I wanted Gravity Well, and well Gravity Well went but my mines went too. Kinda sucks when that happens, because I use mines to conduct bombing runs when I have something caught in Gravity Well.

my torps and mines misfire all the time, and just initiate a cooldown.

sometimes my bloody bof abilities make the other bof abilities go into long cooldowns as well, even totally unrelated bof types.

now i just set everything to autofire hold down the w key and watch tv.

It's not just torps and mines. It happens in ground combat too. I've cicked my secondary weapon many times, and it just went into a cooldown instead of actually firing.

Gah - me too. As an avid (and somewhat adept) HYT Plasma user, I have gone through this too much., as well as the mine. It is particularly pronounced with the Breen Cluster Torp.

The problem with mines, tricobalt, plasma balls, or similar targetable entities was a separate issue that was resolved along with the FAW problem. The issue with those abilities was that they did not ignore "Hit Chance" o you would effectively "miss" yourself and those powers would fail (the higher your defense, the more you would miss with these powers). This has been resolved.

The problem you are stating seems a little deeper. Does anyone notice the problem more often when clicking on the power icon vs. hitting the number keys on the keyboard. From what I can see it happens often enough to be annoying, but not often enough to regularly repro. Any info to repro the problem would be very useful.

    I have it when clicking.

From what i can see...it might be when you "just" click it. So u click right on the edge of the button.

That might not be the problem but...every little helps right?

I have been experiencing that problem so many times. I had to click 4-5 times in order for it to activate. Lost a few battles because of it. It is very frustrating. Happens to all of the skills, from what I remember. It seems to be at its worst when I play PVP, but on PVE, it was fine.

Everytime I notice the targetable missles misfire it is when I am spamming the launch button. Which for me is Shift-Spacebar. It's not a light tap once and misfire but tap consecutively in the same second that it occurs for me most often.

I have it on both clicking the icon (which I only do for ship abilities) and clicking the number keys. They will occasionally fail..

I get misfires occasionally when I hit the button just as the cooldown finishes. My transphasic cluster torps also misfire against enemies like the Mogai, when they're doing their fly around fast thing, it just goes straight to cooldown without launching.

I get the exact same thing...I have been getting those more frequently with the last few patches to holodeck....

The only time I get the misfire is if i click it to fast after the cooldown.

I watch the timer and when the button lights up, I wait another secondor two before trying to fire and it seems to have solved it for me as I've not had another misfire since.

I have the same problem with ground on the alt fire modes, though I've noticed in the combat log I've still done the damage just not had the effects come up so it looked like a misfire. Again, I try not to be too eager clicking the button and it all seems to be ok for me now.

it happens to me on all type of high yield. I click them since they are not on my number list. I do , however, use numbers to fire the torpedo itself.

I don't know if it's the same problem... but every once in awhile, right after my high yield is regened... I click on it to activate it again and then it immidiately goes into universal cooldown. Inactive for 15 seconds. It happens to me with ground skills too. Tacyon harmonic, tricorder scan, mines... so on and so on. It just seems to happen to me when I click on the skill the moment it goes off of cooldown. I can't help it though, because I like to have my skills fire at maximum efficiency. LOL Ironically, with this bug I end up firing my skills LESS.

I was noticing it this evening with my HYT 2 and Tric mine, it was happening regularly and I regularly click the icon. I'll try hitting the key instead tomorrow and see what happens.

While we're on the subject of possible bugs: I noticed whenever I get hit with Tractor Beam Repulsors, the rest of the time I'm in that map the graphics effect (the big blue cone) will randomly appear. This happens whether there's someone there or not.

Why is it inept? If we're hitting the button as soon as the CD is over, it seems to be skillful button mashing to me, and the problem is with the game. If we're hitting it before the CD is over, then why are we being punished more (an extra CD) than if we had pressed it 5 secs before the CD was over?

I find it hilarious how it is somehow inept button mashing, when

notiHng is firing. Not a non high yielded torp. Or an unskilled mine.

No, this is fresh mines, with Dispersal pattern already on there (for 5 seconds no less) and suddenly it goes into a global CD

Same deal with a Plasma torp.

Get yourself in a slow turning cruiser, try to fire the cluster mine launcher, or pretty much any projectile that can be shot down as you turn into the firing arc.

I can guarantee you that it will reproduce time and time again. Also, try not to do this test on the internal networks. I'm guessing this has something to do with a slight latency problem. IE: The client thinks you're in firing range when the server doesn't agree.

The same glitch has happened for as long as I can remember with Feedback Pulse.

I get this alot on my cruiser too, in fact its the only case of misfiring i see and its easy to repro
