Speaking as a Vet, thank you to those who have recognized the sacrifice and sense of duty inherrant in the men and women who have served their country.
And to those of my fellow vets, I too thank you for your service. To those who still serve today, your continued efforts are appreciated and you are not and will not be forgotten. For those who have fallen and their families who survive them, my deepest gratitude.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
This thread is amazing proof as to just how hard our community here rocks.

It may seem kinda late now but would it be possible to have a in game Federation veteran's day and a Klingon Day of Honor in game event? It would make sense in the in game universe and it would be a nice way to pay tribute to our veterans.

Thank you to all the armed forces of every country that help to protect us and to all those that have gone before helping to keep us safe.
It's Remembrance Day in all Commonwealth countries.
I wonder if Americans wear red poppies today...
No, we just have flags everywhere, and some of us personally thank soldiers that we meet. Though some of us do that all the time.

You guys should adopt the poppy. Not only is it symbolic, it's fashionable!

I have one hanging from my rear view mirror everyday.
I am proud to have served, and am proud of those who came before me (I miss you Dad!), and all those who have come after.
