Does PVP seam a little one sided to anyone else, when I play my Klingon toon we rock the PVP zones when I play my fed I get use to losing alot. Maybe my Fed just sucks even with similar skills...lol

I've played PvP with a Klingon (admittedly a long while ago) and bit the dust so quickly I blinked and missed it, it's not just Feds that that happens to.

It has to do with the fact that Federation players have so much PvE that can be soloed that they have little in the way of teamwork skills when they go out to PvP. Klingons, on the other hand, practically HAVE to group up for most of their career...in PvP. As such, they are a more cohesive bunch, even in PUGs. That's not to say that Klingons don't get their asses handed to them from time-to-time with a well-prepared Fed group, but in general the KDF has better teamwork skills.

In my experience a lot of that has to do with Klingon's emphasis on PvP game play.

When most of your level up experience is gained by taking down other real world players with different builds and tactics, your usually going to be better then the opponent who has leveled against the depressingly easy AI on normal.

That and the vast majority of the time on my KDF character I can team and communicate with random groups easily and efficiently. On any of the Federation characters there is usually one person at least who refuses to group or listen to the team. Its usually much harder to use any tactics, and many are not speced into the right skills for PvP. This leads to frustration and ranting after that match about how overpowered the Klingons are and how unfair a battle cloak is.

I play a klingon mostly for pvp and our team will sometimes get rocked by feds. It really just depends.

I've had some even sided matches too that could've gone either way.

Teamwork is the key to any PvP match. Klingon's have to do it out of necessity, however Fed's hardly ever do it. In all seriousness go into a PvP match and count how many Fed players you find by themselves. Then try to count how many Klingon's you find solo.... :)

Mostly the factors in pvp right now are as follows:

Is your team smart? Do they know to synch fire on escorts first?

Do they know to fire on the lowest level character first?

    Are they healing each other?

Also, is the enemy camping their respawn point? (the feds constantly do this)

If the feds have all cruisers they usually can win. Which really makes me think something needs to change for escorts because they always get destroyed immediately.

Been PvPing as a Klingon since season 2 and it has been about 2/3 of the time the Klingon teams seem to win.
But I have had my world really rocked by FED teams though and I don't expect an easy fight from them ever.

Exactly! A well coordinated team can totally counter the fact that klingons can cloak. Right now I see pvp as very balanced faction wise. Not so balanced ship wise. Escorts might as well have big targets on their backs. The only way to keep them alive is to have a well coordinated team (or a team in voice) so that they can heal the escorts.

I rarely even fire on a cruiser unless there is no other type of ship target available.

i have seen too many feds recently not using any teamwork or concentrating fire which is making the Klingons look overpowered.

I pvp randomly throughout the day between classes, everyday. And I have basically seen a fairly even random chance of either well teamed feds or well teamed klingons.

The best matches are when both are well teamed.

Also it must be mentioned that there is no real "Klingon" faction. There used to be.

Now there are just bored Federation VA1's who have nothing much else to do and have decided to level a klingon via pvp (like myself)

I've PvP'd a few times on my Fed, lots and lots on my Klingon. Always in PUGs for both sides

    I won't PvP with my Fed anymore, here is why;

    1) Someone ALWAYS shoots off solo
    2) No communication WHAT SO EVER
    3) No teamwork...
    a) No Grouping to monitor health / status or location
    b) No talking about tactics, not even a "Hello" from anyone (Refer back to 2)
    c) No target listing or co-ordanation for focus fire
    4) No thought into setups or skills for ship type
(Example : I once managed to talk to another player about skills and gear, they had a deflector dish that was fantastic for sensors, but all their skills were deflector based - so the skills were not as good as they should have been)

I despise going into a PUG Fed group for PvP, it is not really the players fault, as has been mentioned most of the Fed side gaming is solo based and most of the time you do not need great gear (or even the right gear for your level) or skill setups. So I do not blame the people who do not PvP often or are new to it, as we all had to start somewhere and were all newbies once ;)

So true, I've been klingon right from the start, and it is nothing like it used to be.
Some of the problems from my list above have started showing up in Klingon PvP recently :(

To make matters worse I know a few Klingons who became bored and leveled up Feds, I tell you what, I know when they PvP, I get battered lol :)

A part of me feels like there should of been separate premade and PUG sections of PVP combat.

I have never been a part of a premade group but I imagine with the way ive seen them chew up PUGs before that its not very fun. Im someone who likes a good fight, and if im going to take the time and effort to settup my character for pvp in a specific role with friends, chewing through an unorganized group in 3 minutes would just be boring.

With the state of PvP though at this point, I doubt it would do much good.

I've fought some very well coordinated Feds that have rocked klingon teams i've been on.

It's all sort of random. Only way to be sure you are on a good team is to pvp with your fleet.
