We've been seeing a lot of NPC Ferengi lately. I was thinking that they should occassionally quote from the rules of acquisition a little more often. I found this site with the "complete" rules of acquisition.

If they could randomly pull a quote from thi list would be interesting. There could even be an accolade that rewards you for keeping your ears open when someone quotes them. Something like "A Ferengi's Ferengi" What do you think?

Agreed. that is a good point. But some of the ferengi around drozana, for instance, could be chatting away and mention some of the more obscure rules. Whereas, the primary Ferengi NPCs could quote a few specific quotes.
You symbolically fulfill one of the rules, you get skill points.
You could do it fighting or teaming (and I'd allow teaming with any faction, maybe with a latinum fee to change which existing faction you side with). You could do it in the exchange.
But you're basically just out there trying to figure out ways of living up to the RoA.
Love this idea. When the Romulan faction is in, the Ferengi would be an awesome faction to start work on. The completely different angle to missions and gameplay that they could provide would be awesome. Not to mention the fact that all the women on Ferenginar are naked. Although to be honest I don't think a 50-year old naked Ferengi woman would do much or me.
Missions could involve resolving disputes for profit, and the "diplomacy" type missions could have a "pass or fail" outcome that adds the mission-giver to a list of your contacts. The more missions you pass, the more contacts you get, and the easier it is for you to acquire items and equipment from those contacts to help you do other missions.
Instead of belonging to an official organization that promotes you as you earn skill points, you could gain new ships and officers from salvaging old scrapheaps, winning ships in games of chance like Dabo, and acquiring new bridge offers by paying them latinum to join your crew.
Just a few ideas.
