I recently purchased the digital version of Star Trek Online and a month of game time. After installing the game client, I was sent to a page to enter a key. I never received a key though. I assumed one is not needed. So I closed that page. Now I am waiting for the game to finish patching. How do you know if you have the full version of the game and not the demo? Thanks.

After completing the tutorial, try flying "north" of the Sirius Sector Block (to the Alpha Centauri Sector Block). The demo will not let you do this; the full version will.
This should have it.
If you still need to tie your key to your account, they most likely emailed it to you. However, games services like Steam (if this is where you purchased it from), allow you to look up the CD-KEY from your purchase by right-clicking the title of game.
You're fine then. Welcome to the game!
If you run into any more problems, feel free to file a ticket or contact:
I wish i could believe that but there's a chocolate cake in front of me that wants to be eaten. I might get the prosper part right, hwoever..
Just for a sanity check, when clicking "My Account" from this page:
If so, you're all set!
As Cosmic_One said, you either enter the key to activate the retail copy for your account or purchase one directly (which apparently bypasses this, so long as you're logged in).
Happy flying and I hope you enjoy the game!
Once you get settled and level your characters a bit (say Lt Cmdr. 10 or higher), I'd recommend the test server account to see new features. Stormshade said the Foundry toolset may reach Open Beta during the next few weeks, meaning you can create your own missions one day.
