People would just complain that they're too weak compared to the MK XI purple VA stuff they already have. :)

I would love to have a TOS phaser. And it should be the same strength as the ones in the missions. :)

I think this will be the revised reward for "City on the Edge of Never". Remember, all the old missions are getting themed rewards too.

The MK XI stuff is a push over compared to the CRM and Proton Rifle. I'd expect the TOS pistol to be much the same.

I found them really deadly, far more powerful than what I had.

Well if they do ever add a TOS hand phaser to the game - it better have the old school disintegration FX from the TOS series.

Oner thing that surprised me in recent posts you made: you seemed to imply that episode replay would allow us to claim multiples of rewards.

So if we wanted a fully stocked bridge crew with such phasers, we could keep rerunning a mission to stock up everyone. If that's true, I want to say: I like it.

Now... Maybe look at ways to make other grinds repeatable on a single alt.

One idea that springs to mind immediately: why not give our4 bridge officers diplomatic ranks? That could be a way for us to "spend" diplomatic XP past the cap.

Similar to "real ranks", they'd be capped one level below us at Envoy.

And for each Envoy BO, we get a token for another exchange officer.

It actually fits what we see with NPCs since Ambassadors usually travel with an Attach

Would really like to see this eventually and also taken to a much larger scale as well. Weapsons, tricorders, interiors, etc. The games nees so much more era customizations for all of the Star Trek timeline. Classic phaser producing the classic disintegration FX from the TOS series would be awesome!

Yes I agree - I just suggested in another thread it would have been a great added award if you completed the mission and got the accolade. Sign me up, I want one too:)

The two/three shot kill of the TOS phaser is far more powerful than any weapon I've come across in the game so far.

TOS (Type II) hand phasers are the second coolest of Star Trek, so I'm totally in favour of that.

I want to second the request for a TOS hand phaser. I aslo want to bring back up an old suggestion I made. Howabout adding a time portal to an entire sector based in 2265 (or something). Just copy one of the existing sectors, revamp it to TOS style (D-7s, Constitution class NPCs, smooth head Kilngons) etc. You would need to make some more TOS ships for it (may I recommend the Franz Joesph designs.) It would be someplace you could go to hang out in 2265. Story reasons might need some work, but that would likely be the hardest part. ;)

    Thanks,
    Duncan

I would love this - in fact, I would have preferred it to the beam array we got (though the array is cool, I'm not a hater).

I'm going to have to go in once on elite just to see what this vaporizing looks like. I've done 5 alts on advanced, so far, and haven't gotten vaporized yet. :(

If you get vaporized do you get kicked out of the mission due to the time-stream and need to redo it? I think failing and having to redo would be cool, like the Breen series where if you TRIBBLE up the interrogation you lose the mission. :)
