To all Stafleet Excelsior Class Ships,
Commanding Officers and Chief Engineers,
On a routine maintenance check our Chief Engineer noticed that the default Paintjob on our necelles and saucer section was peeling off, obviously Starfleet Command used inferrior hullplaiting on the latest batch of Ships so that the paint starts to fluidify while shields are under fire and finally evaporates completely while in transwarp transit.
If you find any signs of missing paint or hullplating on your Ship please Warp to the nearest Starbase and request a proper repaint, we don't want the Klingons to sing songs about Federation Ships that sweat so hard in the heat of battle that they loose their Paintjob!

Commander,
I appreciate your alert put out on the matter of the suspected flaws in recent paint used aboard Excelsior-class vessels. I have not, as of yet, experienced any distortions or scars on the hull aside from the expected scorch marks from engagements with the Breen. We will, however be puting in for our 6 month, stem-to-stern inspection next tuesday. I am sure any issues will be discovered.
Regards,
Allen Wakefield Roberts, VA
