on the what lies beneath mission, i kept clicking on the flashlight to get it to come on, but nothing happened, no light, no little animation, no nothing. i ran the entire mission in the dark. anyone else have this issue?

Do you have dynamic lighting enabled?

It worked fine for me the first four times I ran it. The other eight I just did it, old school, in the dark. So I can't say for sure.

About the same for me. maybe it worked a few times more, then my eyes adjusted to the dark and I didn't need it anyway.

Either a graphics setting, or I noticed that it only really worked in the truly dark area. It doesn't have much effect where you pick it up because there is still a little bit of light. You should notice it within the next couple of areas where it's truly black.

I did notice that it seemed to shine through some surface texture. You would see the shine on a part of the wall shine it over a bit and it would disappear, move it a bit more and there it was again.

Still the game flashlight is a wane little light with poor fill and throw.

While it does not hover over my shoulder the 115 lumen Cree LED light I carry in my pocket is much better at both fill and throw and is more compact than a mini mag so it's easy to carry in a cigar grip.

It either runs low on power or just glitches after you approach a wall too closely as turning it off and on again restores the light.
