Episode 10 - The Return of StormShade
Brandon and guest-host Paul (DJ Askray from Subspace Radio) get together for an amazing show featuring the return of StormShade, STO’s Online Community Manager! Our “Blank of the Week” features information about STOWiki.org and an update for Star Trek: The Journey. After Stormy answers some of the questions listeners sent to him in this thread, we share the latest news including the major update for Klingons coming in Season Three and the latest “Ask Cryptic”. Stormy also sticks around to talk about some of our listeners’ great ideas which he will pass along to the dev team.

November’s contest has been announced and we are giving away 5,000,000 Energy Credits to one lucky winner! To enter, search “Priority One” in iTunes from the “iTunes Store,” rate the show, and leave a comment. Once you do, make sure to email us at priorityone@thequantumcafe.com with your iTunes username (along with the feedback, a “Great Idea,” or a “Blank of the Week”). Good luck!

    Excellent show.

In answer to Stormshades question, I love the What lies beneath episode, i like it as a change of pace from the other weekly missions. Out of a series of 5 i would be happy with 1 or 2 of that complexity.

    Quick and dirty version:
Combadge - STO-In light of some recent potentially dangerous bugs, many players seem to have the opinion that abusing unintended functionality is an undefinable "gray area" and seem to be unconcerned with the consequences of exploiting (despite the various Codes of Conduct making it perfectly clear that disciplinary actions can be taken against the accounts of anyone who participates in an exploit). How would the community manager respond to those opinions and perceptions, and how seriously does the STO team take exploiting? What assurances can they make to players seeking an clean and honest playing field?

We don't like exploits. If you see one, report it in game as a GM ticket, and/or by sending me or another dev a PM. Don't post it on the forums. We'll fix them as soon as possible.
Soriedem - TQC - You have been community rep for some time now. What are some of your thoughts on the star trek online community overall? Are there any posts or threads that you personally wish you can throw out an airlock? Any posts, threads or discussions that jump out at you as being memorable?

I really really like it here, and I think our community (This means you!) is incredibly awesome! Nothing stands out as a big negative that I wish I could throw out an airlock, and I really liked Q's chocolate cake metaphor from back when we first announced the extra life time benefits.
Sir_James_of_Cadiz - STO-why dont infraction points ever expire?

Be cause I said so. Also, because I think that people will treat each other better with the knowledge that their actions on these forums have permanent ramifications.
Jennau116 -STO forums- I start with a complement, you are always out in the community, and you are always working for us. For that Kudos. My question: How are you working with the rest of Cryptic to provide a better FORUM experience for us?

We've added more moderators to the team, and we encourage members of the development team to read and post to the forums frequently.
Felderburg - Do you feel that STO has succeeded in pulling in Star Trek fans who would not otherwise be playing computer games or MMOs? If so, has it succeeded well, or is there room for improvement?

Yes, but there's always room for improvement.
Commadore_Bob - Can we have slightly larger avatars? It's hard to make pictures that are worth seeing at 100X100 and less than 19kb. I'm not talking 1600x900, I'm talking 200x200 and 50kb. Give us a little head room.

No. I like fast loading pages, and think that this won't do much good, but could cause longer page load times when you're reading the forums. I like pages to load as fast as possible.
Stormshade: Interview over! However, the actual interview was like 50 times better, included more funny, more info, and more Brandon and Paul.

Seriously, it was a very good show, and wasn't very long (Total episode length is 35:27), and really is much, much better than what I just gave you. :p

    Thanks,

    Stormshade

I wish that he would have answered the science ship question.

he was doing great answering all the other questions but that one. maybe he could get a dev that is responsable for that since he said he really dos'nt know much about them since he plays escorts mainly. :(
