You have to deposit something to make a withdrawal.
(yes, the dialogue is odd sounding)
There's something ironic about someone chastising Cryptic for their use of words in a post when they, themselves, demonstrate a poor choice of words, mixed with a handful of typos and punctuation problems.
But I digress...
Maybe the guy isn't speaking English and the Universal Translator is to blame.
fixed thank you for telling me.
wasnt being serious Mr. troll. i just found it amusing that we deposit dignitaries into rooms.
For example, depositing is synonymous with situating.
"We're situating the diplomats in the Reception Room" would've been a more aesthetically pleasing choice - despite being equivalent to the dialogue above from a linguistic perspective.
well that makes sense. it just made me do a double take and i was reacting like LOLwhat??
Well, depending how they acted during the tour, it could still be an accurate description...
Considering how the Tellarites and Andorians acted during the Enterprise Negotiations, depositing might be the polite way of saying that the security teams had to escort both there.
Bwahaha never thought of this. okay that would make sense they were pretty obnoxious
Besides, I usually get the First Contact brief from an ensign, so I like to imagine they're just trying to sound smarter despite seeing a new race for the first time.
