I was just wondering if anyone else has had issues with the drops on Elite mode? I played on elite running missions at Lt. Cmdr and Commander level today for 10 hours, and got absolutely nothing but batteries and a couple ship healing kits in space, and lots of food, hypos, and a few white weapons and shields on the ground.
Not even a single green in a little over 10 hours of elite mission running! Seems like there is something seriously messed up here.

Anyone else noticed anything along these lines?
Yeah, I agree. I spent several hours on elite last night and only got 1 blue item. The rest were all batteries.
Elite drops are pretty fubared in low-level klingon areas (Kahless expanse, T'ong Nebula). I haven't seen any problems with them anywhere else. Could just be bad luck?
That would be inline with my usual luck if so. I just can't believe I didn't even see a green in that amount of time, or anything in space really, no weapons, no shields, no consoles, nothing. Just batteries and one critical component.
But if it's working for other people, maybe the random number generator is just saving up for a streak of blues or something.
I don't see why the game difficulty should effect the drops personally.
The reason being is that if "higher difficlutly setting = better weapons" then people playing the higher difficultlies will "own" all the other players. Which is of course TRIBBLE because it means everyone will either be at disadvantage or forced to play Elite.
Having said that, weapon drops could do with a review. The difficulty of the mission and battle should take play but it should be randomly chosen per mission and be seperate to difficulty setting.
I'd like to see "normal" players have the odd "Elite" fight thrown in to keep them on their toes.
I guess I have an issue with the whole difficulty setting thing. The game should scale to the player and their abilties in an MMO (IMO).

Maybe I'm just an elitist, but shouldn't players with skill be rewarded for their efforts and time put into Elite difficulty? Why should everyone be treated at the same level when some people *are* better than others?

Players should be rewarded, but what they shouldn't have is a drop down which equates to "give me better loot".
I think players playing Elite should get some form or reward for their extra effort but something that should only apply against other Elites. Basicly, something to reward the effort but in the contex that players "choose" a harder experience.
Got a blue drop yesterday on Elite as well, after some Nebula action. Wasn't something I'm going to use, so will put it up on the exchange probably. So someone else can reap the benefits of all this Elite uberness (?) Not seeing all those purple drops in space. Would not know about the ground on Elite. Got a few purples on normal there, months ago...
Elite gives significantly better loot per kill, but kills also take significantly longer. Overall, the benefit is fairly marginal, other than having a .00001% chance of getting a purple rather than a .000001% chance.

Is my point.
