Look before i start out im not a griefer and im not a troll. i have both kdf and fed toons.
my thing is as a Va i want to be able to my daily and not have to worry about Zoning in and popping like a balloon. i understand its a open pvp area, but come on by the time i hit my cloak on my defiant i already have 3 Bop's and god knows what firing on me. But i know nothing can and will ever be done about the cloaked campers that love to pray on the unsuspecting. and this goes for both sides. I think there should be at lease something that allows us to actually get into the field to scan something other than worrying, if i should re-spawn or not.
I just want to be able to do the one daily without dieing as i warp in cause either a razor fleet or what other fleet is waiting there for a fed to warp in. but eh worst case thats 3 emblems i can live with out right.
im there to do the mission get my loot and leave. I attack only if attacked. but even then whats the point to fight back, your always out gunned 3 to one. this is just my view.
Perhaps you should try the ground war zone. It counts for daylies as well and is usually not spawn-camped, because only tactical officers with the corresponding skill maxed out can cloack effectively on ground.
Its an open pvp environment, hate to be blunt about this, but deal with it. You obviously stated that you could go without getting the 3 emblems, if its that much a big deal for you, since its clear that it is by you posting this up on the forums. Then maybe its wise to stay away.
Other note.. there is a war going on, your going to be attacked. Welcome to war

But spawn-camping is more or less the same as having a "I win!" button, you get an unfair advantage by misusing a game mechanic, ie. you know where the spawn-point is and can bludgeon anyone warping in. Defending spawn-camping by saying "deal with it" since it's PvP shows a lack of respect for other players.
Klingons usually complain that feds doesn't want to do PvP, but is that so strange when klingons more often than not spawn-camp.
I am all for open PvP in some areas but players who partake in activities such as spawn camping are nothing more than griefers and cowards in my opinion. I certainly will never set foot in these areas so long as this behavior persists.
Inertial dampeners, tractor beam repulsors, engine battery and evasive maneuver is the answer. oh, and attack pattern omega, too xD. if u are quick enough to press all that...at once
Get some friends and roll in as a group. Or save the Daily mission to do another day and come back when its quiet. Going in as a group is a good way to ruin a campers day, suddenly there's more than one target shooting back. Send a couple of crusiers in first and then your heavy hitters and let the rumble commence!
As has been said, open PvP areas are going to be dangerous, you can either avoid them or deal with them,
At least when your being spawn camped you have your shields. I have found that most of the time you will get hit when you just offed that borg cube and your shields are gone thanks to its drain attack.
I hate to say it, but kerrat seems fine, i'm just against the glitched borg inside nodes. Combat is great, its the one thing that makes the zone unique compared to the other 9 out of 10 zones for high end content. Perhaps there needs to be an alternative daily or 2 that is pve only to make it so that you 'dont' have to go to Ker'rat. However, someone else in a month or so will come along and say they're not getting the full experience (Missing out on one daily in ker'rat!) and we'll have come around full circle. You just really cant win this.
However, back before i 'quit' STO, there was always a truce in Ker'rat. However, this is usually broken by one trigger happy player on any side. I still adhere to this right now, a year down the line, when i've returned recently, i still adhere to the rule and it seems to work. However all it takes is just one fellow to attack me when the instance restarts and its a free for all again and it generally goes downhill with people attacking each other again
You cant win with this system, just...avoid it if you can. Bringing it up here wont do anything because if its fixed, or a compromise is made, someone else will come along a month or so down the line and another compromise will be made. So many compromises will be made until the zone will be like an old toothless tiger with no forepaws.

 God, I just love being a Kingon with camping gear!
some folks don't seem to know how people can both like pvp and not want to be attacked the first second they appear in the map, perhaps while they're still loading it. After all, if the ship were really approaching the Kerrat system, they'd be able to see any non-cloaked ships and would be able to avoid them until they were ready to fire. With a fixed spawn in point, they're just sitting ducks.
I don't do the Kerrat daily much, though I used to do it a lot. Pvp just doesn't interest me that much, though if I had a bunch of friends that did it just with each other I'd do it.
Timing is a big feature of not being Jumped there.
I went in day before yesterday to do the "Defend Against Enemy" mission, and found no one there to defend against. I went about doing the Borg Items, and when the last repair Cube was done the pop up showed that me and one other player were there. Neither of us saw the other in system while doing the Borg Items.
I still do not know if it was a Fed or a Kling that was in there with me.
Klingons usually complain that feds doesn't want to do PvP, but is that so strange when klingons more often than not spawn-camp.
In the PVP arena maps spawn camping is usually a result of feds not leaving the spawn point, it's pretty rare for the feds to move to the center of the map.
And this is why I avoid this system when I don't need it for career progression. The last time I went there I didn't bother fighting the Klingons. As soon as they attacked, I came to a complete stop and let them blow my ship up. I didn't go there to fight you and you are just interfering with my scanner. If I ever do go back, I'll take my G-X so I can at least get to my target before the Klingons notice I'm there and start bothering me.
There is a simple solution. The enemy for this map is supposed to be the Borg. Cryptic make the Klingons and Feds allies on this one map. Then there is no reason for campers to hang out. Even if I'm doing the Borg mission by myself, then at least I'm not having to fight them and some Klingon at the same time.
The camper issue would likely be solved if Cryptic gave everyone that zoned into an instance 30 seconds of immunity like those AI cruisers get in many instances.
The solution to all spawn campaign would be the same - randomization of the spawn point location.
There isn't any other way to get rid of it. There will always be people that like to grief or camp. There will always be people that, when they see an enemy spawning close to them, will start shooting, not thinking of the idea that they are just dealing with a bad game mechanic.
They could fix this easy but I don't think they will do anything about it. They haven't fixed the Borg that spawn in the objects that attack and damage you but you can't attack.
They could make both sides spawn behind a NPC fleet that was stationary. If enemy ships got to close the would get hit very hard cloaked or not.
The Klingons could hang out cloaked just out side of the range of the fleet and the federation could warp in without being attacked right away. I really doubt they will do anything though.

Yeah, it is an open PvP zone, not a spawn camp.
Hopefully cryptic creates "guards" at load in points to detect and attack campers.
In the PVP arena maps spawn camping is usually a result of feds not leaving the spawn point, it's pretty rare for the feds to move to the center of the map.
kinda difficult to move to the center when pelted at the spawn point...(no i dont do the kerrat system, but i do partake just enough in pvp, i was just responding to your post in general.)
They need randomized spawn points, badly. But they also need Team Random spawn points so that everyone in the team respawns at the same point if they die within a certain time frame of each other (looking at you Arena!)
This would fix the camping issue.
And by the way, anyone can Camp their way to "win". I don't spawn camp. I let them move away from it. Or I kill the ones camping if I can. But the camping issue is the reason I don't do Kerrat.
Which slows my emblem intake down. There's no sense doing the Grief Zone known as Kerrat. Due to the presence of mobs (mobs which are the by far most powerful in the game), it's not even a PVP zone in my eyes.
It's a pve instance that someone haphazardly made an "Open pvp" zone. Without even bothering to do the most basic thing as random spawn points.
Kerrat is the most bugged map in any game ever, a wild guess but i bet it is true.
When to factions spawn in the same place, what is the word i'm looking for. EPIC FAIL.
Look before i start out im not a griefer and im not a troll. i have both kdf and fed toons.

In my opinion, players should not be flagged for PvP for 30 seconds upon respawning / entering a PvP map. This does two things: First, it protects them from spawn camping. Second, it provides the victor of a fight with more time before they have to worry about a recently killed opponent rejoining the fray (which would be especially nice when a battle wanders next to the respawn points). It's beneficial all around to everyone except griefers.
Step 1: Make sure Fed and Klingon space spawn points are at different locations.
Step 2: Setup un-killable and powerful NPC turrets around each spawn point.
Step 3: Profit.
Spawn point camping was the reason Cryptic put in NPC turrets in the space capture & hold PvP matches back in Closed Beta. Back then some Klingons could not stop themselves from spawn camping... It was great fun for them.. But not so much for the Feds who died over and over without a chance (or just did not respawn and sat it out till the end of the match). Once Cryptic put in the turrets the issue was forever resolved and neither side can spawn camp the other.
They could fix this easy but I don't think they will do anything about it. They haven't fixed the Borg that spawn in the objects that attack and damage you but you can't attack.
That's not true. They have fixed something. It still does happen occasionally, but there was a time where you were guaranteed to find probes stuck in half the nodes or so.
i love some of the idea's posted, will they ever happen prolly not. al i was doing was stating how i feel about thats all. to ground war zone its not too fun, y cause u cant mount dual heavy cannons on your shoulders:D.
I also agree that its a very bugged map. Did they ever fix the invisible walls yet?

1. Yes, some in that fleet are dicks, which I can forgive... and some are unsportsmanlike, which I cannot forgive and that is why I have their fleet leader on /ignore and will not team with any of the more egregious campers.... revenge camping is, in my view, sometimes acceptable, but if someone asks you to stop and you will not, plus if you think this makes you a good player or a good pvp team (mentioning no names but I think many of you know who I am talking about), well such folks are beneath contempt.
However although I abominate serial camping, Kerrat *is* an open PvP zone and alas a certain amount of camping inevitably comes with the territory.
2. Join a fleet and if some ******s camp you, bring in your fleet and break the camp (I have been camped by Fed side fleet pre-mades and called in fleeties to help me on several occasions).
3. There are several techniques from breaking out of a spawn camp... not 100% effective, but often they do work... for example: if they are shockwave camping: hammering Aux to Dampeners the instant you spawn will stop you from getting shockwave stunned >> pop engine battery + evasive >> you are out of the kill zone fast.
To me spawn camping is an exploit taking advantage of a game mechanic for an unfair advantage. Some players may have slow loads times and may be dead when they can see their ship.
I care nothing about them ambushing in the gaming area. I expect it they could have the same results ambushing players away from the spawn point. They are just doing it to grief other players.
I also support randomized spawns. I'm not sure why people spawn camp in Ker'rat, when it's so much more fun to wait for someone to attract a sphere or two, then help out the borg
If someone is spawn-camping, gather some friends into teams and reverse gank them. Guilds used to come to their friend's aid before teamwork disappeared in MMOs.
Request for Developers:
Who decided placing spawn points on the same side of the map for bother factions was a good idea?
Reading fail. You missed the part we he mentioned the turrets we "UN-KILLABLE".
Reading fail yourself,
He was talking about the c&h turrets, and those are not unkillable.
Otherwise we could not have killed them last week during a match.
