We are no longer taking any questions (but feel free to still post them here and maybe Stormy or Tom will see the thread and respond) because both StormShade's and TauNeutrino's shows are up!
My suggestion for a question, since it's Stormshade (the community manager) :
In light of some recent potentially dangerous bugs, many players seem to have the opinion that abusing unintended functionality is an undefinable "gray area" and seem to be unconcerned with the consequences of exploiting (despite the various Codes of Conduct making it perfectly clear that disciplinary actions can be taken against the accounts of anyone who participates in an exploit). How would the community manager respond to those opinions and perceptions, and how seriously does the STO team take exploiting? What assurances can they make to players seeking an clean and honest playing field?
Are we going to get a multiple pathway feature for missions? Are we going to be able to create different circumstances tied to dialogue choices or map triggers?
UGC has the potential to produce some fantastic scenarios. Is there any plans from the Development team to create an Accolade that can be awarded to a UGC creator for creating a superior quality work?
If not, what is the development teams reasoning for not doing so?
For a lot of us more Fleet minding folks, the main questions on our minds are all about the Fleet Starbases and how they'll interact with the Foundry.
Have you guys done much planning towards using the Foundry for Fleet Starbases? If so, what can you tell us? How will making a Starbase work? How much will we be able to customize our fleet starbase? How much 'room' will we be given to work with? How will we be able to travel from the outside of our starbase, space, to the inside, ground? How will we transition to different levels?
What I'm interested in are sub-factions. I read a little bit about it elsewhere but the topic seemed to be about Vulcans and Andorians.
What I'd like to ask is about alternative professions, for example, a Smuggler...a character who makes his EC not by killing baddies and selling off the left overs, but someone who plays at the market and can set his own prices for his goods. Kind of like a mobile, personal, exchange.
What I'm talking about here is a pc score (like diplomacy or similar) vs. npc reaction score to give the result of a potential transaction. In other words, will the Ferengi buy your Industrial Energy Cells for 500 EC each or will he tell you to consult the Rules of Aquisitions? Sometimes you might make a sale at your price, sometimes you would not.
Negotiations would be the next step: what this means is the npc giving you the chance to lower your price...in effect striking a bargain...and then your pc is given the choice of actually selling for the new price or walking away.
- Is PvP going to be the only long time motivation in the game or are you planning to establish some new game modes? (if not are you planning to introduce new PvP maps, like "Capture the flag" for example?)
- Are you planning to make PvP more friendly for casual players, like limiting how many enemy ships can target at a single one?
- Are yopu planning to release some NEW ships instead of always digging up old ones we already know? (And if you are going to realease new ships, please do make them at least rudimental good looking (contrary to some ships already in the game like Envoy or those hideus Fleet escorts).)
when will the website reflect the current state of the game? there is no klingon ships on the website nor is there a proper info guide on the weapons and consuls?
when will their be a proper data base for federation or klingon officers to access at the stations?
when will our website portraits be put back online? I noticed the main website is in complete disarray.
I'm concerned with item functionality for the Foundry...
Are we going to have very wide latitude with getting items to do different things?
Like trigger events and be linked in a sequence?
As in switches and buttons and starting dialogues and generally tracking progress and guiding players through the missions with waypoints and anomalies and scanning targets and the like?
Can you give us a brief description of the process?
To what depth can these things be used or linked together?
These are the "Mechanics" we have to use to make things happen and are vitally important. Any heads up info would be helpful for our planning process.
1) Will we seeing ships being crafted in the near future along with player Starbases (including asteroid outposts)?
2) Will this game become EvE? Considering discussion regarding player built ships and penalty of high tiered being considered permenant lost? This is no fun and hardcore players only asking for this and this game is not EvE but STO (annoying really to build a new ship every time where that player time could be spent else for more fun)?
3) Will ship interior be decreas in size? Also, will you be allowing Boffs being off duty showing in places such as 10-Forward or Engineer Section (at the moment nothing there)?
4) the ship interior such as medical bay, engineering section and 10-Forward area be used in the future for mission related stuff?

I would personally love for this question to be read out. Word for Word.
i agree with UFP-Magnis's first two questions
it would be nice to have the main website properly updated with all ships, and have a few databases we could use
now, to my actual question: when we're browsing through the Fed ship database, why is it that whenever we move back from the specifics of a ship (Alt-Left); be they cruisers, escorts, or science vessels; it always changes back to the cruisers tab, regardless? is this a bug or something on the main website? (it's a little annoying when you're looking at escorts or science vessels, you go back a page, and suddenly you're back on the cruiser tab)
1. What are the specs for the new KDF ships coming out?
2. Will there be more than one "variant" with the ship..If so will it be released w/ the ship like the feds have (for free when they buy the ship), or on C-Store?
3. What are the new KDF ship special powers?
***It seems Cryptic has been mum on all of this...On the Nebula, not at all mum...in fact they had stats on weeks before people started testing it on tribble***
Will we ever see any Skins for the Excelsio Retrofit?
Such as giving us other Cruiser skins just for it's layout?
The same for other said cruisers on the both the Fed and Klingon side.
My fleet and I stand by that the Excelsior layout is exactly what the Assault Cruiser should have been and I for one would like the same layout on an Andorian battle cruiser.
In particular, I presume it really gets to you when you warn people about possibly closing a thread and then have to go ahead and do it.
For the Foundry Master:
- Is there likely to be any scope for us to include things of our own devising within the toolset? In particular I am thinking about recrded audio. Yes, I wanna put voices in there.
- Can we add 'ambient chat' from NPCs such as we get around the dabo table. I text based would be a start.
- Could you promise that it wont become a gimme fest as it has in City of Villains. In particular I would like the guarantee that kill accolades will not be collectable in there.
- Very important for my concept. Do we get control of the level of the mobs in the instance? i.e. can we vary them within the instance to + or - users level?
I read that eventually the amount of diplomacy XP you have will play a role in determining the outcome of missions. Are there any plans to do anything further with diplomacy? Could we possibly see (or request) a daily diplomacy mission set, similar to the B'Tran and Breen missions, that give emblems or badges of some type?
I enjoy first contact missions, but there doesn't seem to be much point in continuing to do them once you've reached ambassador.
"Is the Beam Team (TOGETHER) problem going to get fixed in the "Hunting the Hunters" Mission in Mylasa System??"
Reason:
My recent efforts have all failed due to the Team NOT being sent to the Dome I am sent to. My team has to RUN to my location, and fight their way through the groups of hunters, and then Maybe be able to get inside my dome.
They need to beam WITH me into each dome where I am sent.
**I first Posted this problem in Bug reports on 10-14, today, 10-30, I tried the mission again, and it is not fixed as yet.
A number of people on the forums have suggested that the "Uniform/Off Duty" costume paradigm is too limiting, as it doesn't allow you to mix and match things like uniform skirts and robes. Combining this with the C-Store ability to buy Uniform slots but not Off Duty slots, quite a few have wondered aloud if it wouldn't be better just to remove the distinction between costume types. Is there any hope that we might see the Off Duty and Uniform costume types combined in the future?
We know a Vulcan ship is being added to the game but which and will it be a T5 ship? If so which type, escort, science or cruiser? If it is a success will other Vulcan ships follow?
Will upcoming patrol missions for KDF provide a possibilty to fight rogue Klingons, Orions, Nausicans and Gorn in space and on ground in order to enable the accomplishment of related accolades?
I know you will never ask them about this because you dont dare but here we go again.
Why is it that Cryptic is refusing to let the Federation and KDF players do the STF's together
and why is it Cryptic fail to se that PvP and raids (and end game content) are a MMO best chance
for growing and keeping end game players around.

Will our interior map have a minimum ceiling hight? (Basically are we going to have to use huge vaulted ceilings in our missions)
(i mean, if a football player accused of crimes against animals can return to the game and make millions, why cant points ever expire on the boards?)
fleet starbases? when? and is it for sure or just a tale?
why is the merc outfit considered off duty?
any ship at any level... how come after we open a tier we cant carry over the ship to the next with us? why not allow skins for all levels?
just a few....

Alternate question.
When are we getting the Akira Refit?
