Devs: Can you make objects/actions trigger emotes?

If you can, this would be an awsome improvement to the game! It would give it a LOT more feel!

Imagine:

- Your KDF alt is getting a promotion, you go to see the emperor, and as you recieve your formal promotion, an emote triggers a /kneel emote. Possibly combined with some nice camera action.

- You walk through the corridor of a ship, you reach a point in a corridor and the ship trembles! Achived by activating some camera rumble, + an emote that makes your toon look like he's struggeling to maintain balance.

i can see a lot of things in this area that would greatly increase the feel of the game!

Would love to see this. Also, please remove emotes from the chat window unless targeting someone as was done in CO. It's incredibly annoying.

Emotes need a lot of work in general, but I would love to see stuff like them struggling for balance during a screen shake (as you say). VERY Startrek! :D

Go to admiral's office and give the poor man an automatic salute!

No respect from cadets these days...

we need to have a bar to drag our favourite emotes too. This will increase RP posibilities. It's nice if you can respond to something quick with an emote. Sometimes I see a fellow fleet member entering Quarks and before I've found the Live Long And Prosper emote for example, he or she is already gone lol. In SWG you could drag emotes to the bar above your action bar, just like you could drag items or summonable pets and vehicles to it. It's simple but efficient

Not to mention that it ties well with the coming of the UGC ;)

Id be happy if the emote panel STAYED where you put it if you undocked it from the chat panel. As it is you have to redo it everytime you change area which is ludicrous.

that is annoying yes but I'm sure it's an easy fix for the devs.

But seriously devs think about a favourite emote bar

I like it, and make it so that if I go to the same task menu to change something like my chat settings it doesn't interfere with the tacked emote menu. Presently, when I do this, the emote menu remains tacked but the emote options disappear.

Also a smile emote might be kinda nice? Maybe kinda sorta.

Vaihuu might be half Romulan, but she does smile on occasion.

Great idea, Dassem. We need the little things that build and grow an attachment to our characters, and this should help. :)

Yes, please! I mean, we already have the power bar - which has enough sub-rows to accomodate anything. The only thing missing would be the option to drag&drop the emote buttons there.

That being said, I'd also like to see a "kneel" and an "operate" emote. The latter one is already in the game and triggered when you interact with terminals - but you can not activate it yourself! It'd be very cool if this would be included into the list of emote commands.
