Galaxy-class. HUGE issue!

First look at the bottom one. The nacelles seem to be causing a blue glow against the hull.

Then look at the top one. The angle for an effect like that to happen is, basically not there. Unless the light strangely bends around the hull without making a shine until it reaches the bottom it's not going to look like that.

    that isn't from the Nacelles. its the skin you are using combined with the lights from the decks on the ship.
    its not an issue it something cryptic has put on the ships to make it have more of a defined look.
    if you choose a pattern and a color you wont you that anymore.

    Don't say that.
    It's NOT the pattern or color. My guess is that you have lighting effects off or something. My colors are not blue. The pattern changing KEEPS the blue glow exactly as it is.

    On every federation ship applicable you see a blue glow in front of the BLUE LIGHT deflector dish on the hull (with the proper settings). The same goes for the blue light causing a blue glow on the hull from nacelles on several ships (where applicable).

    The fact is, this blue glow is somehow misplaced. It's on the bottom of the hull instead of the top.

    not a huge issue. Never been in a fight and had some say this. (hey stop shooting your lights arent right on your ship. We will wait till you get them fixed then i will kill you.)

    I see that you're in Federation sector space. check out other sectors. I've found that the "grid lines" in various sectors give off light. So if you're in a Blue sector, it's blue light, red sector.. red light.. etc. Try visiting the Defera Sector, and see if the issue persists there.

    Man you guys like wanting to think I'm wrong.

    There's blue light everywhere. It doesn't matter what I go. It's the effect that they did to make blue glow on the hull from various sources like the deflector dish and nacelles. I know what the problem is. The blue lighting effect is just misplaced.




    Anyways it's with the Tier 4 Galaxy. I haven't tried the Tier 5. Also on the Tier 4 Galaxy when going to max impulse only the left impulse engine trail glow gets brighter. The right one stays the same. It's distracting.

    I tested this in Eta Eridani and with the red glow underneath, you can make out the blue glow that Parallax is talking about.

    I brought this up months ago, the devs have ignored it despite the several mails I sent. Capnlogan has almost abandoned us. This isnt gonna be fixed unless you make it a huge issue.

    Hmmm....

    Borg and Aegis sets need more balancing. Some BO powers don't work as advertised. Some of the repeatable missions are bugged in Season 3 release. Foundry needs a world of work. Crafting, though much improved, can use some tweaking. Jim Johnson in Anytown U.S.A. is mailing that his client keeps freezing. Oh, and there is a new issue with graphics on ATI cards......

    HOLD EVERYTHING!!!

    We've pimped this guy's ride all wrong and the ground effects are buggy....... NOES!!!

    From February until now, this game has seen remarkable improvement and continues weekly (usually on Tuesdays) to get even better and more polished. I'm sure a fix will be forthcoming.....someday.

    You're demanding a fix for ambient light effects on a 3D model? Seriously? Talk about a complete non-issue.

    Given the other MAJOR bugs that actually AFFECT gameplay, I'm not surprised by the Devs reaction, as they have given the issue the priority it deserves at this point and time

    Well the Dev's haven't touched the Galaxy class since the Saucer was redone, then only added small stuff like lights.

    The whole friggen Neck, Hull and Necelles should be redone.

    But this is not an Graphical Issue, this is a Ship issue and therefore should be mentioned under bug reports and the ship issues thread...


    Sadly with only 2 Dev's on the Shipteam stuff like this will take forever to get fixed.

    Just look how long it took them to get the damn stripes on the necelles.

    Chill, its not that big of a deal. Maybe after they fix all the other stuff they can work on ship lighting.
