No, buyer beware. You took the chance, now live with the consequence.

A car is significantly more money then a video game. $20 is less then a movie outting for 2 people.

I should have gotten the LTS refund when I had the chance, but no, I had to hope and give it more time... to get worse.

I really hate whoever said hope is a virtue.

Hundreds of millions were spent in DC back in the 70s & 80s to legally prevent this exact issue from becoming a problem at all. The industry is only getting what it paid for to be sure. After all we do have the best Congress money can buy; you can bank on it! :D

You had around thirty (30) days after launch to get your lifetime subscription back, if this is what you're referring to.

Even if the lemon law applied to video games...

Can you log into the server? Check
Is the game functional, IE does it allow you to shoot bad ships, bad people on the ground, do the features implemented at launch work? Check
Is the game in someway creating a situation where it is dangerous to operate? Nope

I don't think I need to keep going.

Remember, a used pinto is not a lemon... not saying STO is a pinto... STO is a Kia trying to be a Luxury car right now. (Doing a good job for a Kia too... maybe this time next year we will have a Lexus... still not a BMW scale luxury car, but a nice car none the less.)

Yeah they are .... if you start buying "food" (and I use that term loosely) there, you're looking at a $50.00 movie now (for two people). Unless you go to the second run theaters that charge a lot less ... but then the "cheapskate" assumptions that your significant other has about you - are soon realized.

That's cheap? Frack one ticket out here bloody costs 18.00 dollars. Still cheaper then the gas to drive a mile to get to the theater though... oh wait California is passing yet another gas tax... anyone have a bike... -looks off camera- well call me a monkey they are taxing bike ownership now to? -nods- really? Doing it because no one is driving anymore? Are skateboards ok? Good.... -looks back to audience- nix the bike, anyone have a skateboard?

Don't worry. The next big quake will separate California from the rest of the US, sink it into the Pacific and rid us of its moronic leadership. Get out while you still can!!!

Yes except in California the cops and businesses love to harass skaters. Good luck with that one.

Damn I forgot about that... in the businesses defense... a lot of the younger skaters do like to inadvertently or intentionally damage property. Plus... the minority that likes to do pot, and then stupid things, ruins it for the rest as well. In other words, they complain about how they are treated, but then champion youthful rebellion by plastering pot leaves on their cloths and other rebellion symbols...

Anyways... good point, skateboards are out. Would say horses, but to own livestock or labor animals, you have to pay a methane tax because horse farts are destroying the ozone, and somehow taxing horse and cow owners fixes it....

    Hmm...

I got it! I will develop a car that is fueled by the whining of extremest nut jobs! Plug my car into Fox news or MSNBC... that way neither side can tax me because they would never tax themselves!

I took this pic in Oakland in May of 2009. Check out the business to the left of the jewelry store.

Kind of sums up the whole area rather well. :)

One more person who fell victim to Cryptic's bait and switch.

If this game was half of what they pitched us pre launch, I would have got a LTS 5 months ago.

If that's how you fell, honestly, why do you still subscribe to STO? (Bioware paying people to troll the competetion these days? ;))

AoC is cool. There are actually a few elements from that game that I'd like to see in this one (Alternate advancement, endgame battlefields, guild housing/hubs, etc.)
