I just turned Luietenant 10 with my KDF alt. I rushed over to the Deferi sector to start the Breen missions, but I can't seem to get the Ambassador's ship to follow me and there can';t spawn the enemy that is supposed to attack. Any suggestions? I thought escorts missions just involved you moving in front and staying within range? Is ther an action i need to take to get him to follow me?

Are you staying within 10K of the Ambassadors ship? I know if you full impulse off to the breen's ship spawn point with out him he'll just stop all together until you get back into range.

I'm right on top of his butt. He's not moving. Shouldn't he start moving at some point if I am next to him or in front of him?

Also, could the issue possibly be because I have already done all of the Breen/Deferi Daily missions because those did not require Lt 10? I hope not.

No, there are no prerequisites for him to move. I would just say zone out and back in, or double check you went through all conversations with him. (Look for any new action tabs)

Do you have your cloak on? Maybe he doesn't know you're there. :)

Ok, it worked just now. After having relogged into the area 4 times and having dropped the mission once and re-acquired. Not sure what went wrong. Maybe I was clicking though the dialogue trees and moving my ship forward too quickly. :p

im having the same exact issue right now, same exact level to as a KDF Sci Officer. funny how this hasnt been addressed yet

Edit: Dropping the Mission, logging out, logging in and reaccepting the mission dosent fix anything, it picks up were you were stuck

you need to wait for the instance to close (about 15 minutes) you can log off, or do another mission. once the instance closes, it will restart you to the beginning.

I had this issue once and never again with any alt, so i think this is a bit hard for the devs to track down.

Just an odd thing but is your computer overclocked?

I'd have assumed everything was serverside and it didn't make a difference but I was having some substantial mission bugs that stopped when I disabled overclocking. (I'd have assumed only graphics are handled clientside. But I'd practically swear now that your computer running certain calculations badly can trip up the game.)

That is actually a good point and I will try to remember that myself in the future.

And to the above poster, no my PC is not over clocked when this happened to me last month. I don't overclock my PCs.
