Yeah they aren't even on Tribble yet. I'd imagine them there in the next week or two, but they aren't going to show up out of no where without being on Tribble first.
Dan said that he hopes to get the new ships out during the Devidian series, which means by mid-November if they keep that schedule. However, I wouldn't be surprised if they're delayed until closer to the end of the year. In either case, all we can do is wait...they've promised to get them out to us, so we will see them eventually. The alternative outcome is not a pretty one.

I'd doubt it would be then. Just think, they have started with a couple of weeks after 2.0 release, then end of August, then 10 October, now...I suppose the feds will get the royal treatment while we get the royal flush. I doubt it will be until 3.0 launches. It would figure as much that they would wait that long while they worry about "cosmetic" changes to the Nebula and such JUST to please the feddies, whilst we get pushed to the back of the bus. I am sorry, but my patience has long been wearing thin, and their promises to keep us in the loop, seem to keep getting put by the wayside....Yes, they post and tell us they are pretty, that they are cool, and they have powers, but we don't see the pics, we don't know the BO layout (proposed...and we knew the nebula 1 month at least before it is being released), and we don't know the special powers...So, I reckon they are forgetting us, and hoping that we don't realize it.
Correct me if I am wrong, but when was the last time they told us anything about this topic that had any merit?
I must agree it's seems to us atm that Dsthall has just been feeding us what we want to hear. We are 2 months past the initial promise date, no spec's, none of them on Tribble, and the feds are getting their Nebula, and are getting rework on the Akira. You can't tell me that with the feds getting all this and us Klingons getting NOTHING that Mr. Sthall is keeping his promises to us Klingon's. We are getting NO FEEDBACK from the Devs on our new ships, in the latest interview with Mr. Sthall there was NO MENTION of the new Klingon ships at all. Some talk of crafting and opening Pi Cannis for us but NOTHING about our ships.
Give us at least 1 of them ASAP. yes there are several in the works but to PROVE to us that your keeping your word give us 1 just one so we can say your not treating us like mushrooms (kept in the dark and fed BS) which has been the standard practice toward us klingons since launch.
At current Cryptic's word holds little to no weight with our section of the community you have to earn our trust, respect and, HONOR and with the current treatment regarding our new ships your loosing all of it from us.
Please remember that the Nebula has been in the works for awhile now, and the changes to the Akira are purely cosmetic.
The new Klingon vessels are new ships, and not only did they need new art, but they also needed design time and code time.
We're working to get them to you as soon as possible.
We've also made changes to the carriers in the game, added the new wing animations, and are working on other things for you all as well.
I know I keep saying this, but there's not much else to say. Change takes time. I'm personally of the opinion that you will find your patience to be rewarded quite well.

I know I see people working...however, patience is in short supply. This is especially the case when dates are constantly moved back. The last one came and went with not so much as a general notice to the players. I know the words soon, and such are great to hear, but if you all are so backlogged that they won't make it until Season 3 (although they admittedly should have been in much earlier), just say it!
I hate to sound like the petulant child, but a little information goes a long way.
For example, anything specific on the ship special ability? I mean you all must be close to completion, so giving away the special power should be something to tithe us over.
If that is impossible, then tell us something about the BO layout..there are many things to keep us updated on, and a small bone (something less vague than 'soon' and 'cool stuff') goes a long way in keeping KDF players from revolting and such.
Thanks for taking the time to post. Get back to us SOON about some concrete data...lol...There's a cookie in it for you if you do.

Thank you for the update. I prefer to have you guys get this right and without bugs than rush it out. Yes, players typically what everything right now (and of course Klingons have been getting very little so far), but again. Better do it right and not rush it.

Then answer me this .... Why is it that we have been given hard dates for August and then October then? .... And what became of the Vorcha and other Klingon retrofit ships that Dstahl told us back in August he had already "seen" and were about finished?
I'm still waiting on the final ship specs but here's what I can share so far...
(from the ship designer)
Gorn Ship is a Science Vessel. Similar to the Federation Deep Space Science Vessel.
Orion Ship is a Cruiser, similar to the Federation Star Cruiser.
Nausican ship is a little special. I call it a siege Raider. Its similar to the Federation Fleet Escort.
Tier 5 B'Rel is a Tier 5 Retrofit B'Rel Raider.
Tier 5 Vorcha Retrofit is similar to the Federation Assault Cruiser.
With the exception of the T5 Vorcha Retrofit, they will all have a special ability.
So I am glad I missed it and that the two retros are in the mix ... still ... It does get frustrating with having been given promised release dates and having the put off time and again.
I've actually tabled my primary Klingon character until that Vorcha is released.
And yes ... I realize that Nebula was also delayed.
I hope included amongst those "other things" is making said wing animations optional.
Also let's make having nacelles optional. And wings. And hull. I want to have a flying, shooting bridge section. With sharks with frickin laser beams strapped to the side. But make it optional please, Cryptic.
Please remember that the Nebula has been in the works for awhile now, and the changes to the Akira are purely cosmetic.

My question to this is will the new klingon ships and refits be available for the Lieutenant General ship tokens?
I hope included amongst those "other things" is making said wing animations optional.
It is optional. Fly a cruiser or carrier instead.
That's like asking for the warp nacelles to be optional on Fed ships. It's PART OF THE SHIP. Just because they didn't have it before doesn't mean it's not a canon part of the vessel.
I actually leveled my KDF 2nd per the given date range. Now I have nothing to do on her as well....I was planning to either put her in a science ship (the gorn one), or a carrier, but I want to see how good the changes to the carrier are, and if you all will go ahead and nerf about everything the carrier does once the feddies whine and complain before I finally make a decision.
So, since we cannot get a clear date on when the KDF ships are to be out, tell us....when will the carrier changes on tribble be out for us to use for good?
Just so people understand and hopefully will realize the sort of work this takes, and quit crying:
There's many steps that go into making a new ship, as Stormshade pointed out.
First, there's the approval process. This involves meetings with people all over the place, and all over the corporate strata. It goes back and forth between Cryptic internally, then to Atari, CBS, back around and through the loops again and again, until everyone's happy. Probably settle on some vague concept of the ship's role at that point, as well.
There's the plain, simple modeling. No, they can't just use a CGI model from a film. No, they can't just use a ship that's already in the game (unless it's already a player ship). They have to do this from scratch. This takes about 7 working days of effort. Once that's done, the artists job is more or less finished. That means, he's free to do other things like tinker with old ships that need some love.
The ship has to have its game mechanics worked out. Not just the individual stats, but special abilities, code for those, debugging, balance testing, lots of thought on how to make it unique, yet not over or underpowered, play testing, more play testing, more balance work, more code.
Now, there's many teams at Cryptic all working on these things, and some of them happen at the same time. Some don't, due to waiting on other teams to get their part to a certain point, or simply because they have higher priorities elsewhere.
All of this equates to actual release dates being very hard to pin down, lead times being very long (mostly from the approval process) and the whole thing being at the whim of the schedule and any pressing issues that come up. The art/modeling part, from what it sounds like, is probably the quickest. The rest of it is plagued with bugs, waiting on meetings, waiting on the grace of some exec from another company who has bigger fish to fry, etc, etc.
So, try to understand the development process, and that it'll take an indeterminate amount of time. I know Klingons are honor bound, like to make things happen, hate delays, and get impatient with bureaucracy slowing down success, but Klingons DON'T whine.

People understand there is a dev process, what ticks people off is when the promised dates come and go with out so much as a word, it doesn't take 5 mins for dshal or stormshade to make a post in the klingon forum section to say sorry guys but your ships have been delayed.
A little communication goes a long way and for the record you coming here telling people not to whine does not help either it just means you are going to get the hell flamed out of you.

Hey thanks Storm, tell the Boss to buy the group a cold one for the great work they have been doing.
Spots, I wasn't whining Just pointing out some fact's and asking for them to put a rush on one of them to prove to us we aren't being lied to yet again. The Vor'cha refit should be the easiest to push through and having one ship would be proof enough to most of us that the "business as usual" in regards to us Klingon's has changed. We are at the point where unless we have the proof, we in general don't believe what is being told to us. 8 months of things promised yet delayed time and again to put out the latest toy for the federation side has jaded us. We just ask for the proof that things have changed instead of the "their coming" or the "your going to love them" lines we've been getting.
Many months to make a new ship or two ...WOW impressive lol , either the devs arent very good , or they have mostly ignored the new Ships for a long time and lied or there toolset is rubbish.......wonder what one of those it is lol.
Comments
The plan was back in august.
Currently it's sometime during this series so I would not expect them until mid november, although probably not until december all things considered.
My bet is .....no
Pretty much this.
Unless you count the possibility of something showing up on Tribble for a test run as "release"- which I don't.
