Whenever im in sector space, the underside of the saucer on my Galaxy class has this effect on it that well,I dont know if its bugged or if its even the game doing it.All I know is it looks HORRIBLE and I want a fix.Its hard to see in the picture but if you look really closely you can see it.

I really want a fix for this, please if anyone can help.

EDIT::Got a better snap of it,put my ship on a different angle and you could see it way better, also it is in EVERY sector block but its the worst in Orellius if it helps.

Once your there, click the image itself, view raw image, then just click on the circled area to zoom in.
Hope one of you guys can help me,I try to ignore it but I just cant.

Try turning off the option "Full Screen Occlusion" (or something like that). I was getting a similar shadowy area bug on curved ceilings, walls and ships.

    Hope that helps.

Just FYI, I have a bug filed to work on the quality of the ambient occlusion. At the moment, if you find the artifacts too distracting, you'll unfortunately have to disable it as suggested.

EDIT:It worked, the effect is gone and I dont know why you thought it was unfortunate that I had to turn it off,I have noticed no difference.
