Petition to make the user interface open source

i would simply like to see Cryptic update the user interface to an open source system and i feel that this change would allow the community to enhance the game for themselves (for those that would really like to) without taking up dev time that can be spent elsewhere. (after the open source ui is released of course)

before anyone says no i would like to point to world of warcraft which if any of you have played know how amazing a good modded ui is but also to the fact that modifications that were popular enough were on several occasions adopted by blizzard into the default ui allowing them to enhance their ui over the years with no development just a little bit of programing to make their own versions of the mods here and there.

personally the first mods i would get would be for the bars and the character info so i can compress my ui out of the way more and have more information available to me... oh and maybe a map mod that simply has a list of planets in the galaxy map for when i can't remember which zone a particular planet is

tell me what you guys think and please sign even if you don't plan on modding your ui

In before lock :D. IIRC petition threads are not allowed. Anyway, the UI is fairly open, you just need to know where to look. I miss a few things thou.
    - Location, shield, health export.
    - Tray setup export-import.
    - Transition event export

Ya pretty much anything stored client side (like the UI Is) is open source to people who know how to deconstruct the code. The UI here doesn't even need that. Just a knowledge of how to manipulate files in a text editor like notepad.

Soooo... yeah. We already have what you're asking for.
