KDF & Target Colors

As I've begun playing the KDF the one thing that's taken some getting use to is that now the target frames for the good guys are red and those for the bad guys... are still kinda red.

I don't mind Klingons being consistently red in the universe--it's probably more distinguishable. But why aren't the Feds consistently blue? The Romulans green? The Cardassians orange? ... and so on.

There's really two approaches.
a) Always have the same colors depicting ally players, ally NPCs, enemy players, enemy NPCs, etc., regardless of what faction you're playing
b) Have a more permanent, faction-based color scheme.
c) Customizable schemes (more below)

Right now it seems to have a mix of A and B, which is inconsistent and sort of confusing.

Another option is to have it customizable per character. Looking through the HUD options there's already a breakout for different relations; allies and enemies, friends and fleetmates. Having a color option under those would give maximum flexibility, and there could still be per-faction defaults.

I agree. Friendlies are sort of orange and enemies red. It's hard to distinguish. Why not swap the federation colours around - red for friendlies and blue for enemies.

Same goes for ground combat maps. My team is red dots (very visible) the enemies are yellow (barely visible).
