Is your GPU / video card compatible?

What hardware and drivers do you have?

Are you playing on a cell phone? looks like the smallest monitor ever.

Seriously though have you adjusted the video settings in game?

because of the graphics card you have it is likely the game turned on half resolution. Try turning that off

also attached your complete dxdaig report on your system.

^This is what is wrong with your graphics, and should be turned off, if you have a high enough card.

Yeah, sorry the game doesn't square your resolution away for you automatically. Just so you don't get disappointed later, it won't brush your teeth, walk your dog, or park your car for you automatically either. Open up the option/video window, turn off half resolution, and enjoy. Also, with your set up, I'd probably go 4x antialiasing. You never said what resolution you normally run, but the game looks pretty nice at decent res.

The game graphics can look truly beautiful -- if you actually have your settings on the appropriate level. There are numerous screenshots for proof if desired.

There's a slash command that will pixelate the game like that. I forget what its called. Theres no way you turned it on by accident tho. As far as I know the command isnt even documented.

    EDIT:

The command is /renderscale. Setting renderscale to 0.2 or 0.3 or so will result in a screen as shown. Set renderscale to 1 to fix the issue.

(I do not recommend experimenting with renderscales above 1, this will cause either severe framerate lag or game crashes.)

STO may only be an MMO, but its quite pretty and graphically intensive. I'm not sure onboard graphics will cut it. If you had read the minimum requirements before buying the game you'd note that it specifies a GeForce 7950 as the minimum. A GeForce 8200 chipset might sound better, but it really isn't.

You might want to stick with the default settings, as you'll probably get a very poor framerate when theres lots of action on screen.

    tl;dr - Buy a graphics card.

No actually your wrong idiot, read what i said you cant get THAT MUCH better than what i have already, just shows how stupid you are... even more so if you read it but didnt get it.

There also comes a point where it stops making a noticable difference when you have so much power, the game can only use so much before the rest is un-used... so yeah your wrong twice you stupid genius..... think long and hard before making more stupid posts in future and try to use that small not working brain.

Your epeen doesn't count. 15" is small these days. Get a bigger screen, increase your desktop resolution, increase STO's video resolution in-game and turn off scaling if it's on.

    Attitude these days....

Long since is not so long, to be honest. And I posted just to make sure because you continued to whine and moan at other people trying to prove your machine is still good. Which to be honest, is not so much.

You have alot of anger in you, I recommend getting help. Good luck.

actually num-nut they moaned that my monitor is TRIBBLE and i didnt argue that it is good, i said i dont need a new one, my system is good and there hasnt been doubt on that, learn some tech information and actually read posts and if you cant refrain from giving poor information since your incapable of reading and assimilating information... this is a by product of being stupid.
