They said they wanted to add bridge functionality before they added aesthetic choices so the answer is "no, not in the near future" unless that policy changes.
While I want to see TOS interiors/bridges myself, I do hope they add functionality first. It isn't going to do me any good if I only get to see it for a few minutes in between missions when I'm killing time or whatever.
Only with accompanying interiors, otherwise sorry - no dice.
Although, be warned - if the TOS bridge design DID ever get introduced in-game, it'd be like a football stadium, with massive spaces between the consoles and the railings (just like most other bridges...).
Not only that, but it'd have a Ready Room attached off one side - even though the TOS Constitution bridge only has one door for the turbolift. I doubt whoever'd be designing it would take things like that into account.
Stop asking TOS things guys... the game TAKE PLACE IN 2409 ... Not 255 years back... This game become totaly incoherent with all this stupid stuff we already have in game.

With all due respect, you play the game the way you want. We play the game we want.
With all due respect, you play the game the way you want. We play the game we want.
And with all due respect, if you buy and ask these things, all the other people must done with these things, because it is NOT A SOLO game, its a Massively Multiplayer Online Game and, by this fact, and if you get a old Ship, we see you with an old ship.... and by doing this, we can't play the game we want.
So, sorry, it's not a very good argument what you say The only things to make all people agree is to limited things and only respect the background of Star Trek Online.
And this background is just here (but maybe you do not have read it because you don't care about the story of the game...if yes, you must understand that the things from show like Enterprise and TOS are totally stupid because not the same era and far too away in term of timeline...)
But, from the beginning, the fault come from Dev. They have made an EPIC FAIL, because they do not respect themselve their own work with their own background by giving so many stupid things in the C-Store... If C-Store was only provided with new ships or things from 2409 era, everyone would have done with it...
Actually, this game plays more like a solo game (with the odd occasional "guest star" popping in a mission or two once in a blue moon) so, as much as i find it silly to have TOS stuff in 2409 (and I LOVE TOS), it is what it is, and actually has ZERO effect on my gaming experience.

Another reasonable and logical response, as to why people should have a good time. Kudos to you sir!!!!

Svens, your character isn't wearing a regulation starfleet uniform from the 25th century. You're wearing a uniform that reminds me of Insurrection. A horrible movie. You're making the game worse for me. Please fix that.

Ugh...please don't get me started on the cash grab that is the C-Store. These forums have too far a limit on what I can say about that.
Sven, a good lesson you should learn is that if you are with a group that wants to persecute others, you'd best be prepared when that is finished because you are likely going to be part of the next group to get persecuted.
You're right, it is an MMO. Of anything, I think Cryptic has done a pretty good job of trying to satisfy all of the Trek fans by letting them play in any era they want. After so many years of newer versions of Trek, I almost can't even stomach to watch the TOS anymore (or episodes of Space 1999 for that matter...nobody remembers that show, but I still have some killer toys from that series, like the Eagle lander). The point is, there are some people that are going to hate any particular version of any series or movie that comes out. I love all of the Trek stuff. I even like Enterprise and Insurrection...in fact, Insurrection is one of my favorite movies. I like the new Trek movie. I like each one for their own merits and for completely different reasons. As a player in a Star Trek MMO, I should be allowed to play in those eras. If you have an old ship compared to what the online era is stating, then make a background in your character bio that tells why. I did this for my Klingon character as to why she was flying an old K'Tinga/D7 class ship and how she was dishonored by that. Don't rely on the Devs to have an imagination just because you don't. They've given you plenty of room to have your own, use it. And if you don't have an imagination, you probably shouldn't be interested in Trek to begin with.
Svens, your character isn't wearing a regulation starfleet uniform from the 25th century. You're wearing a uniform that reminds me of Insurrection. A horrible movie. You're making the game worse for me. Please fix that.
Well, sorry superchum, but I am wearing the uniform "starfleet B-01" from Cryptic made for Star Trek Online (and all the uniform made by cryptic respect the background..) and very close to uniform seen in the comic "Countdown" (wich take place in 2387, only 20 years before STO)
Sorry to follow the background given by the game and, not like guy in TOS uniform, which are playing a guy lost in temporal line that do not belong to them ...
Hi Synther. Space 1999 is truly an old show i am agree with you (it's called "Cosmos 1999" in France)
But to answer you, this is not a problem of imagination or anything else, it's just a respect for the universe, his cohesion and for other players around you.
You can read two of my post here where i explained the problem and I'm not going to rehearse new.
Like you said, some people like some show, other don't, but instead of doing only ONE era of the game, and respect the background they have made (and by doing this, avoid the problems we have now with cohesion) Cryptic chose to made a game for all people with all the show, all the ships, all the era and even all the universe mixed (mirror, alternate, and so on..), instead of taking the risk of losing customers who would not love a game based solely on the year 2409.
In all case, thanks for your answer and sharing your point of view.

In another post, someone presented the idea of making a seperate server for each era of the game. That's just unrealistic to the point of being absurd. If only we had infinite money and infinite time, and drones that never need sleep or food....then maybe we could actually accomplish this gargantuan task.
I'm fairly positive that there are plenty of other things that are immersion killers for you, aside from someone else playing the game they want to play it without even interacting with you. Isn't it more of an immersion killer to try and warp into B'Tran Cluster and have the game client crash? Or how about scanning an anomoly to get nothing after the scan, not even a message stating that it is useless? I'm sure that either of these are more of an immersion killer than seeing someone in a TOS Constitution Class starship named "USS Esses," by captain "hookerzkilla."
if you get a old Ship, we see you with an old ship....
Unless you can tell me a real, physical reason why these ships are "old" and unusable, then I'm going to assume that you're stuck in the mindset of the 21st century's economic model of perceived obsolescence. Our idea of when something is "old" has nothing to do with utility, and everything to do with Apple wanting you to buy a new iPod every five-eight years.
Ships do not come with expiration dates. They are kept in service, until there is a good reason to retire them, and they can be upgraded and brought back into service as the situation demands.

Any chance we will have the opportunity in the near future to buy TOS era Bridges?
Pleeeeeeeeeeeease?
Back prior to launch when the TOS Enterprise was announced, I asked Zinc if they would someday make the TOS Bridge when interiors were added, and he said "maybe".
So hopefully they are working on a TOS Bridge Set and perhaps one or two of the TMP Enterprise sets. (Which doubles for the Miranda, the Constellation, and some others as well).
But there is one thing I hope they do not do....... supersize it into a football stadium like the rest of the bridge sets.
Comments
I would pay for more cryptic points to be able to get a TOS era bridge. For sure.
As would I.......
Oatmeal Raisin!
Who better to get free cookies than from a Cookie Imp? Huh?
The sound effects file is in-game already too! It plays right at the beginning of the tutorial every single time. As Spock gives his first voice over.
Ok, that made me laugh.

Yes. Our money is just as good as his. Give me more options and let me play any ship, any uniform, in any time frame I want.
Amen Synther and Cookieimp, Amen, testify.........

You and I will agree to disagree, and I wish you all the enjoyment possible within the game.

The Captain's database shows you wearing something else Svens. That's the uniform from Insurrection era. On your toon.
