Suggested Overhaul of PvP

In my opinion the Queing system is quite flaud in its inception. The fact that you can que up anywhere is the problem with this system. People sign up and while they wait they start missions and then the pop comes and they have a long mission half done so they dont accept. That is the problem! I know that I have been guilty of it. The universal que needs to be removed and specific places available for pvp. I mean Eta Eridani is already there just get rid of the que system and let the planets do what they are supposed to do.

Another change that must be made is to have random arenas, and Team arenas and have them seperate. Too many times people complain that they get put against a premade when they are in a pug... seperating the two would end that and would make PvP way more challenging.

The random arena system would work similar to the que system now where random people are put together, while the team arenas would require premade 5 man teams before being eligable to que. this would also work well for cap and hold missions by haveing 1 vs 1 team... so 1 five man vs another 5 man, or to make it way fun and very interesting... have 2 vs 2 team arenas.

The universal que needs to go. Give people a transwarp button to go to eta eridani from anywhere without a cooldown so they can go any time they want so traveling is not an issue. Is anyone with me? suggestions to add or subtract pls... I really think a new system needs to be implimented. :)

    I understand that you are trying to work around the issue of people getting distracted but I am not with you here. If they ever did open zone PvP sectors then obviously they need to require us to physically go there but as long as we are fighting in these instances save people the leg work. If they ever unbork the fix on tribble what they'll have going with the challenge system should be pretty nice.

    I just think that in order to have serious pvp you need to have set places to do it... right now the fact that people can sign up wherever is causing the uneven teams and all the problems that cryptic is trying to fix... but in all honesty I think that to make things easier and more fluid the universal que should be dropped. plus think about it... if you had an area for team pvp arena's you would have a group always... go in spam your build get a group... team play (which lets face it) is non existant in STO... stfs are the only thing... where having these areas would promote team play, would it not?

    no no no ... the queue system is stuff why .. because one simple reason they allow people to queue up then give them the option to engage snooze or leave .
    THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG & THIS IS WHAT NEEDS TO BE REMOVED .
    Some one queue`s for pvp they do not get an option to engage snooze or leave the get taken to the game
    when it is ready no options.
    why because 2 many people queue up then go in to a pve mission & think to hell with joining now im just about done.
    remove that option they queue up they join it when its ready.

    Overhaul of PvP should come in the form of zones and capturable world objectives with rewards, energy credits, accolades, titles, and other meaningful goodies.

    I'm not knocking your idea, maybe for some kind of short term fix, but this here is what will help weed out the serious PvPers. And it'll be much more fun too. Your ideas are fine, I'm just in an all or nothing mood I suppose, lol.

    On a shortterm basis, prevent people from que'ing outside "friendly" areas (Starbases, Qo'nos etc) and place them into a common chatroom (maybe even a halfscreen window, with players/faction/ranks listed as well as some statistics)

    You should be able to change around parts, and skill up while que'd but you should not be able to start a mission, or even head into sectorspace.

    I can't agree with this. When the queues are slow, why should I have to twiddle my thumbs waiting and hoping for a match to start? I mean especially with the current queue issues where you can sit in the queues for hours, and even though that will be fixed, low level PVP is still very intermittent compared to VA/LTG PVP and would be even further hurt by something like this.
