I was wondering who in this forum community is actually paying a monthly fee month to month to play STO VS who has lifetime / prepaid up for months ahead
I myself was bamboozled into thinking this game was going to stay fun and exciting and fresh thus paying for 1 year time......My bad.
anyone else care to chime in theri payment plans or lack of?
Been paying since the game came out. And will keep doing so for the for seeable future. Getting to Capt. in a few days I wanted a challange, made a Klingon and have been happy ever since.

Current queue problems aside, the PvP can keep me coming back semi-regularly. I take a few weeks at a time off from any MMO; this one is fun enough that I keep coming back. If I let my subscription lapse in the future it will be because I went to Afghanistan or something.
Im a monthly subber because I never believe that spending $300 bucks on any game before its out is an intelligent idea. I even considered becomming a lifetime member because I actually love this game. What put me off is the filthy lifetime trolls that cried on the forums over the C-Store. They pretty much showed me that I want nothing to do with them and their "club" of misfit whiners.
I do want to say that the majority of players I've interacted with, both lifetimers and others are great guys (or gals but that just freaks me out). Its the whiners that irratate me. Those and the "canon" debaters. I mean really, play the dang game and relax.
I feel for those who hare having trouble with PVP and the problems with playing a Klink. I don't play one mainly for that reason, oh and the Klink players on the forums. Pet peeve number 2 I guess.
i was a monthly subber, but i quit a couple of months ago. i came back for welcome back weekend. and i must say this whole pvp que situation makes me not want to re-sub. with every patch, the devs are just driving this game deeper and deeper into the ground.
Though I am annoyed with the Queue system right now.. Logged in on my Science officer, and for a good 45 minutes, whcih is how long I gave it before giving up, I couldn't get into any queues.. either not enough peopled accepted, or I suddenly wasn't in the queue when I'd hit accept >.<
Lifetime, and I'm happy and content with the game except for some of the new bugs introduced in season 2 like the unreliability of the PVP queues and such.
I subscribed back in Open Beta when it was a paltry 240$
I knew a Star Trek MMO was going to be made before the people at Perpetual were even approached, and waited a long long time for this to arrive. Some might remember my activities in SFC 1, 2 and 3. I bring the same single-minded determination to this game, with the added bonus of it being persistent and wider ranging.
While this game has its many warts and false-starts, it is growing and Cryptic *is* working hard to make it a definitive Star Trek experience.
One might think back to that grand holo-vid so popular on Earth, called Braveheart, where the Irishman says "If I join ye will I get to kill Englishment". It was very clear early on that I would get to eradicate Federation captains and their cloying hypocritical philosophies.
I am here, and shall remain so, this I swear by Mnhei'sahe and the Elements themselves, to bring order to the galaxy under the aegis of honorable administration.

Monthly. I've already unsubbed and resubbed once, and will continue to do so based on a regularly-occurring determination of whether I believe I will get 15 bucks of enjoyment out of this game in a given 30-day cycle.

Sounds almost identical to my situation, although having created a Klingon recently to get some PvP experience, I've so far been unable to get into a PvP match.
Paying every 3 months. Have not gone for lifer yet for 2 reasons.
- Can't seem to gather the courage to pay the big bill
- As long as I keep paying, i'm giving Cryptic an incentive to keep working on the game. If I pay it all in advance, i'm encouraging them to focus on c-store items. After all, any company HAVE TO focus on making more money.
That said, I may eventually go for life-time sub...
Lifer, and if I weren't a lifer I'd still be paying a monthly fee. No other MMO out there currently live appeals to me more than this one, and I enjoy the PvP here (2.0 bugs aside).

At this point going life-time is a waste. If you were to stick with 3-month re-ups it'd take you 21 months, almost two years to make it worth it. As much as I enjoy the game and fell that Cryptic is trying hard to improve it, I doubt I'll be [laying that far in the future.

I'm on a month by month basis. I'm frustrated right now but I'm optimistic that they'll eventually get the basic things ironed out.
My words are more lyrical in the original Romulan, but the audience that understands that language is limited in 21st century fora.

Looking forward to DC Universe online because I am very interested in their PvP implementations.
