If you have taken the time to complain about the state of PvP on Halodeck, please take the time to download the (rather massive actually) patch on Tribble and test PvP there.

I know most of you (point at you PUG Feds) are all talk when it comes to PvP anyway, but for the rest of us it would be good to get in some proper PvP for a change.

I didn't see anything about them putting a patch on Tribble but I've started downloading now. Maybe I'll be able to take a look tomorrow. Thanks.

Too bad that since this current build obviously doesn't work they can't roll it back while they test out other stuff on Tribble though.

    Downloading the latest patch now.

I really hope it's an improvement, I've only managed to get 2 pvp games in today. Queuing for them is driving me batty.

    It's still broken. :(

It is more consistent when everyone hits engage - but when even a single person doesn't - everyone seems to fail.

The system I tested on Tribble tonight is far below the pre-Season 2 standard. I posted my thoughts in the Tribble forum.

    FAIL.

I hope they will finish it before the "welcome back weekend", because with queues as this, im fairly sure it will be the "last weekend ever" for many.

We're working on a fix right now for the PvP queues. However, the word on the street is that it will most likely not be here in time for the weekend.

    Thanks,

PvP seems fixed to me, now. Got into 5 Capture and Hold games, all of them completely balanced. Only one of my queues failed, my very first one -- "You are not in the queue..." message after hitting accept.

I got into one this evening and was very excited :D. The next one popped the engage window but then it disappeared and I was very sad :(.

I haven't tested Tribble pvp, but Holodeck seems fine - once you get in.
It still is twitchy trying to get everybody together, which I think more of a waiting on player response issue than a que one.

Well I still had trouble getting into games yesterday, including the new disappearing prompt window problem. The old system remains superior in my opinion. Of course I never complained about unbalanced matches, I always understood the problem was always due to the players, not the queue system.

I will say that the private matches seem to work very well now, which is definitely a good thing, but the public queues are nothing short of frustrating.

Since the last patch on Holodeck, the PvP queuing system is even worse from what I've been noticing.
Far more often than I'd like to recall, I had the "Engage" window pop up, only to have it disappear within 1 second, and then find myself removed from the queue (Cap & Hold maps specifically).

My guess is that since they apparently allow matches to start with less players, but in the same queue, that the first 6 people or whatever to hit Engage get launched in to a Cap & Hold game, and the rest get kicked from queue, then have to requeue, and wait for whatever timers the devs have for people to join an existing game.

As for testing PvP on tribble, I'm still waiting for thresholds to be lowered so that we can at least have games start 1v1 or 2v2.

Would also be nice to somehow indicate if there are active games currently going on.

Please don't tell me that the only games we will have after this is large... wouldn't it be smarter to default to small instead. This is more tactical and a lot easier for those with weaker systems (not the case with me... but I am sure that those guys with 386's are having a problem)

Also,....it would be less hassle to queue up a match waiting for 10 people..instead of 18.
