I was in an FvF Cap N Hold today, when a Defiant-R (thankfully, on my team) was absolutely wrecking people with beautiful use of Tractor Beam Repulsors 1. Here I was TBR was an Escort's worst nightmare, but he used it to his advantage... with some pretty legit results.
Anyone else have some interesting (successful) tactics they've witnessed?

Most successful tactic I have ever seen that has no counter and is effective one hundred percent of the time...good teamwork. That goes for identifying and focusing targets to properly distributing and prioritizing healing. Might seem like a smart-TRIBBLE remark at first but it is absolutely true. While others may be looking for magical Tricobalt run maneuvers or special power combination or the newest glitched exploits, a group of five players working together cohesively and with synergy trumps all!
being chased by an escort then backing up still takes people by surprise, even better when using evasive so you can then turn and run or get behind them quickly
I was doing tier 1 PvP in my Miranda against 3 BoPs. Since I had a torp on the front and a torp on the back, I just constantly changed throttle to 1/4 forward impulse to reverse impulse to keep the 3 BoPs circling me unable to bring their cannons to bear while my torps were wreaking havoc on them. Lasted for a good few minutes doing that, and then I screwed up and got in the front arcs and I went boom

This tactic is easily defeated if the BoP flies a figure 8 pattern.
Not really, if you constantly adjust your position (turning while adjusting your throttle) you can keep the BoP in either your front or rear arc, while remaining on their side arc provided they don't pop evasive maneuvers
