Weird Graphics Issue - Help!

I just upgraded my video card from an 8800 to a 460 and I'm getting graphical issues in STO. I get a mostly black screen with some flickering. The flickering flickers to normal screen but for only a milisecond, the rest of the time the scdreen is black excpet for the UI which is always present. When I select "verify files" in the options the game seems to work fine, but it takes 5 minutes to verify the files and I don't want to have to do this every time I play. Any idea what's wrong?

I have a Nvidia 260 and just updated the drivers and am now having the same issue. I'm goinna try rolling back to an older driver.

EDIT: Just rolled back to driver version 257.21 and that seemed to solve the issue. *I noticed some bloom elements were flashing. I turned off vertical sync within the game and that seemed to fix that as well.)

Thanks. I'll roll back my drivers and see if that does the trick.

I have GTX 480 and I get this too. The only thing that fixes it for me is to go into the video settings while in game and turn VSync on/off then it is fine until I quit and come back into the game.

GTX 275, latest drivers, same problem. Screen blinks on and off, sometimes stays black with just the UI showing. Alt-tab to desktop and back fixes it.
