    Simple answer....

No one forced you to buy the game and no one is forcing you to stay. As a matter of fact with that kind of attitude I would prefer if you just quit and went away. If there is something about the game you dont like then post something constructive instead of simply ranting and berating the programmers of the game.

I must admit while bugs were at their worst and I was getting stuck half way through fleet missions everyday I was losing my mind. I said myself that the programming was not logical, I am a developer hence why I felt that. I also guessed a lot of students were on the project and it happens to be the fact with another one of Cryptics games so I would not be surprised.

As a student we make mistakes, our mind does not automatically consider everything about each part of code we write. You need good logical, experiance and plenty common sense. Plus not be rushed or lazy.

Now I bet these guys are rushed and pressured so I'm not going to say it is all a persons fault. Way of the economy is that things need done fast and furious. They have also been making constant progress thats something people forget. They maybe don't fix everything but there is always things happen and if we all support Cryptic it will be that way for months or even years. I've struggled to accept STO while at the same time loving it. I've cancelled my subscription twice stating never to return but then they release something that gets me interested.

If you want the game to be something special by 2011 just support them. I found a huge fleet last night, playtime is better with people. Don't take it too serious and support people new to the game by playing missions with them. That way you use old content and don't burn up the new content too fast also.

Comments like this are useless. Part of the reason people actually cancel is because the experiance can be shocking but trying to get any feedback about whats going to be done about it or assurances is impossible. People like Macgowan just taking the "£$£$"$£ **** out of people who are actually upset.

These quit threads were being deleted before. They need to be encouraged and someone actually talk through things with these people to help their gameplay.

People replying with comments they actually think is funny need to be told to zip it as much as the people wanting to quit. There is not a single funny reply in this thread, any of you guys who think your smart should play the game more, support it more and stop replying for the same of it because your not helping anyone.

I am all for talking with someone who is reasonable but when someone posts a thread saying how horrible the developers are and how the game is TRIBBLE and they want their money back and blah blah blah without anything even remotely close to making a suggestion to make things better then in all honesty the community is better off without them.

I appreciate the intent behind this post. However, you should probably leave the moderating to the moderators. Derailing a rant thread is not always bad. If you deprive a person of the wanted stimuli then said person might just stop that action.

Let me guess...OP is another one of those folks who expects an actual reply to every ticket he submits?

Also, dstahl (the producer) has said multiple times that now that Ep 2 is out, their next focus is to go back and clean up all existing stuff before focusing on new stuff.

They refuse to help any time I asked. They got the same answer for every question.

I would agree with you if the game was not partial TRIBBLE. I love the game and play it but there are things going on that are way out of order. So it causes upset and the forum is the outlet. If I was the mod I would delete these threads only to keep people like you away from Cryptics customers who are already upset.

Human emotions are not to be removed from ones self before purchasing the game or while playing. People will get angry thats life. It's also life to understand and keep the customers coming back. It would be more constructive for all you to ask more questions, get to the source of his issues, help the player understand the game and how to get around it's bad points.

Then who knows maybe they will be in here guiding others who make similiar posts some weeks down the line.

Or we could do it your way, someone mentions quit we encourage them to vanish

It could be that a lot of us are tired of tantrums and would like constructive responces in thier place. Thats my gripe at least.

I would like to say to Backstar, try and be understanding also. Do you know the amount of changes in the last patch?

    http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=170781

The list is endless. Each change takes time at the other end, it must be discussed and decided then someone actually makes the change. Testing then actual release.

Feel free to contact me if you want to discuss the game on there and play. Game name is ZypheR. Which my little cousin has been playing and abusing people with, not good but he is banned! lol

Who are you to be tired of tantrums? Is some strange power forcing you to read the threads that are obviously quit threads.

A good number of people only read and comment on these threads for amusement, they get kicks out of it. How many quit threads have you commented on in the last week or month? If you love the game so much why are you not on there playing it, building a site that promotes it or something like that.

I swear it doesnt wash with me this attitude where people claim they are fed up of threads like this like they are trying to protect the game and brand. A great number of people will be sympothetic to him and see all your comments as the negative.

That is the reason these threads get taking down if you ask me. If the players were turned around and talked down from quitting then shown how to experiance the game better it would not only show some level of intelligence but would seem more friendly.

The games great, it has issues and some people experiance too many of the issues at once. I highly recommend Star Trek Online and the first fault to a new players experiance is ending up alone too much. That causes doubt about the game which makes any bugs a bigger issue becuause its like proving the doubt.

Why not ask questions what, why, where, who and how?

I wonder if a quitters fleet would work lol send everyone to that fleet and have people dedicted to showing them a good time :) lol

You really dont read well do you. I answered a question you posed. Then got blasted for doing so. I offered a possible reason for negative reactions. You have sucessfullly added to an increasingly negative thread. Grats.... you trolled me for trying be be somewhat reasonable.

Yes true but for the good of STO and Cryptic making money we need as many players as we can get. Would it hurt to put the tantrum aside and try to address the matter in a way that might keep the player?
