Basically, what I am asking for is an option to take all of the other players' uniforms and render them in the fashion that I would choose (according to male and female). Currently, there are thousands of variations, colours and designs of 'uniforms' that a player can create. Yet, for me personally, I am wondering why I can't just have an option to have everyone wear (render on my screen only) the uniforms that I specify . Not only would it be the 'lore' according to the time/era of Star Trek that I like to play (for me, it would be Next Generation era), but would also make my surroundings LOOK like a disciplined environment. And, if for some reason, you couldn't see your creature Friend as anything except what that person currently looks like, but you still want the option to render the rest of the Players in your specified uniform system, you can right click on that player, and press 'Player Specified Uniform Off" to turn the option off for that specific Player's uniform.
Imagine for a moment an enviroment of uniformed Player Officers who, without even knowing it, have been warped to the time period of your choice and operate with the ranked and classed uniforms of your choice. Think of how totally immersive this would actually be for you as a Role Player! With this option, it is very possible.
So here's how it would work:
- Click Player Specified Uniforms Option "ON"
- Go to Sol Stardock, and go to the Uniform Officer
- Specify which uniforms that you would like to see on Player toons, according to rank and class. Also, specify whether or not you wish to see 'body armor' rendered.
- Click OK. Then, every other players' uniform comforms to YOUR personal RP Star Trek experience, without invading anyone else's play style.

Seems kind of silly to demand uniformity in a universe that celebrates diversity.
