"PVP Ground" Spam Trageting are unfair and unbalance.

What is Spam Targeting? It when a player has a abilities to fabrication things like Phaser Turrets and Shield Generators. But placing them in random places that cause the other players to target the fabrication objects first. This cause PVP battles to be harder to find another player to target. Players find them tabing or mousing for a target that is another player. Doing this ends up in failing mostly for getting a target of the other player.

This is because the targeting is programed to target the nearest that you see. If some one placed a wall at fabrication objects and they hide behind them. Then they less likely to be targeted. Some player want to kill the person who make fabrication objects so they would stop making them. You can't target them because they can hide around their fabrication objects.

PVP Battles are becoming fabrication objects spam wars. What team that can make the most fabrication objects and then hide behind them are the winners. Plus they build them at the respawn point of the other team. Enemies should not be able to build fabrication objects at the other team's respawn point.

It ok that fabrication objects are used a defense and support. It not ok if it being used as Spam Targeting.

How do other players feel about this?

    So, in the controls for ground (and space for that matter) when I uncheck "target inanimate objects" and uncheck "target threatening badguys first" (or whatever it actually says) doesnt work? Works fine for me.

    Try turning off some of the auto target stuff, see if that helps.

    Other than changing settings for auto target.

    The whole thing of enemy fabrication objects near a respawn zone give no chance to recover from a battle or counter attack.

    If they are setting up near a respawn point, I could see where that would be frustrating being attacked imediattley on respawn, but the targeting issue should be adjustable through your options.

    Even you change your options... If you want to change it back because you need to kill some fabrication objects faster by tabbing again. You have to switch the options that will take some time you might not have.

    Maybe there should be a type of target hot-key for easy switching?

    I understand the frustration, but most of it for me is if there are to many fabs, Tab will only cycle through so many and then loop them again, never allowing a Tab target of an actual toon. One is forced to click target. I think a simple fix would be an option to "Target opposing players first".
    Irritating as it is now, yes.
    By design...dunno.
    Unfair? err.....not really. Fabs do not move and generally will not kill you by themselves IF you move.

    It's actually rather ridiculous if the other side has more then one engineering.

    Tactical guys aren't so bad with their teams because the security officers die so fast unlike Engineering devices / drones.
