Is anyone else having tons of trouble with the Infected end boss?

I've beaten Infected a few times (as well as Cure), but when it comes to fighting the queen it's almost always down to luck. I've been on some teams before where we've gotten her into a corner, and just DPSed the hell out of her so she didn't have time to Blue us.

But I've been sitting on "Deeper" forever now and every time I join a PuG, we just fail miserably. The generators are easy...everyone has that down pretty well. But when she comes out, no one ever has any good strategies that actually work. It's either luck or no luck.

I haven't been able to earn a Mark of Valor in forever. I'm starting to wonder if I should just drop the mission every time I get to "Deeper" and go back and get the first 3 Valors for completing the beginning parts, over and over again.

I like this STF, but the boss is a pain. What do other people do? Is there a reliable way to beat this?

    in one word, no

Infected is the easiest STF and there are a couple tactics to get her down (including some exploits but they doesnt matter )

    general:
the death of one or two team members doesnt matter if your group is skilled, it just means that they got 5secs of rest before another one rezz em :)

    Tactic 1 (luck based):
squeeze her between engi cover shields and make sure she cant "see" any of you for long. Just nuke her

Tactic 2 (i think its the official one):
at the sides there are boxes (alcoven in english?) put yourself into one of them ... 4 on one side, 2 on another side and you dont aggro the other borg unless you use ae attacks, debuffs etc.

    Tactic 3: (stand your man/woman)
As long as you only aggro the queen, a science heal equipped captain can solo her, but it takes very long

    Regards, Stargazer

We usually put 2 tacs on the SW platform and the other 3 people on the platform she comes from, with an engineer on the end to be able to break line of sight with their cover shield.

My problem is the room before the boss that used to have 2 nodes lined up in the middle and visible from the hallway. Now the nodes are in the near left and far right corners in alcoves, and I can't figure out a clean way to pull 1 group at a time and pop their nodes.

All of the other node moves made the run easier, except for the one right before Ogen's room, but even it isn't hard since there are so few with it and just a single group, so your team can draw aggro while someone pops the node.

I don't know ... I havent done an STF in so long ... I despise them. Every once in a while I try to do Khitomer Accords and every team fails at the beginning. STFs suck.

Just makes you appreciate the new, normal missions even more.

this is actually pretty easy. Another poster already said this. All you have to do is get everyone in the alcoves along the wall where she has a much harder time hitting you, and shoot her with everything you got until she turns blue. Use that time to heal up and return to shooting when y'all are all healed. Rinse and repeat until she's dead and don't forget the loot that drops in the middle at the end

Which alcoves? Are you talking about that one platform at the far end, directly across from where you enter the room?

Why does that mean she has a harder time hitting you? How is that different?

The alcoves are on the north and east walls of the final room, you enter from the west. Being in the alcoves helps break LOS between you and your team mates. The boss does most of her damage by putting a debuff on a single target (the blue target), after a few seconds this debuff hops to nearby players and damages them. If you have no LOS to anyone nearby, the damage is minimal.
