The level cap increase.

I was always in favour of the skill point cap knowing that there were at least 5 more levels to become available. Then came the news that we are going much higher (61+) the skill cap makes perfect sence. I know many people are already VA1 but personaly I intend to take it slow and enjoy the ride, it may be a long time before we get any more levels.

So whats your favourite part of season two and why?

I know some are not happy and I would ask that you please make your own thread to talk about these.

    Diplomacy wasn't what I expected...

So, Dabo thus far has been my favorite addition.

The Klingon Mission "Bringin the house down" cought my heard.
I loved the Bat'leth contest and the story line, which made me again feel like in the old days of Klingon Academie. There is much what could be done with that sstory arc, even another  Klingon civil war.

Diplomacy was a nice feature esp the bajor misson ( more like that one please cryptic! ) and Dabo was a nice mini game add on, made the game feel a bit more sociable

Hmm, it's hard to narrow it down to one specific thing.

Ship Interiors has me excited more for their potential than what they are right now.

The diplomatic missions are a great change of pace, of all the new features I like those best and hope to see more.

As far as mini games, I like the scanning game much more than Dabo. I have the worst luck when it comes to games of chance. ;)

I like a lot of it actually, but i'd have to say my favorite addition was the 2 additional costume slots, and bridges from the C-Store. The TNG series ones are pretty sweet. I can't wait to get my hands on the Galaxy R and see how it works.

Fleet logos for characters and ships.

also like Dabo and the potential of what Diplomacy can become.

The addition of wildlife in ground missions.

Wild Targs gave me a good hunt in one mission and I would love to see a mini-game that lets you hunt critters added to the game eventually.

I loved the bajor diplomatic, had fun with dabo (yay for Leeta voice over)
and I think it's great the klingons are finally getting some proper PvE episodes (bugged as some may still be).
So yeah, more of all that please! :D

    almost all of it !!!

    - the diplomacy missions are finally something else then pew pew pew all day long.
    - the new sectorspace look that only is in the new sector looks awesome
    - that we finally got a bunch of new missions
    - weekly episodes!!!
    - new ships
    - Dabo... the game itself is kinda boring but Leeta / Chase Masterson made pure WIN out of it...
    - Ship Holo emitters... neat... just give it some function, like an Undercover Mission that you cant complete without one or two of those things.

    what i do NOT like:
    - bugs, lag, loadtimes ...of course

    - Ship Interriors. they are exactly what i expected (feared) them to be.... GIANT rooms, nothing to do there... connected by hallways that are also way to big. Makes me feel like i'm in a Starbase, not like on a Ship, when i look outside the Window there is nothing but empty space, shouldnt i see my Ship?
I realy expected them to have done more with it allready...
now it is waitng again for them to make something good out of it.... so hmm yeah. DO NOT LIKE.

    - also that my Gorn did not get any new Costume Options is disapointing :(

I haven't had a chance to play much of the new content so far, but my fav things right now are dabo with leeta, the diplomacy mission at Bajor, and my ship interiors (although they need to have a purpose).

Although I'm loving the big stuff (Dabo, Diplomacy, Level Cap increase etc.), I've actually found myself more impressed by some of the smaller additions.

Stuff like the ships passing by if you look out of the windows of ESD or the improved graphics of the ship beam weapons. It's the small, sometimes barely noticeable additions that just help improve in-game immersion :D

Actually four things stuck out for me (and actually made me resub to check them out!)

    1) Klingon PvE - even though my main is a Fed captain, the addition of the Klingon storyline PvE got my attention. And it hasn't disappointed! My Klingon captain actually felt like a Klingon for once. I only played "Bringing down house" so far (and it rocked!), but am definately looking forward to the rest of the story arc! Great job devs!

    2) Federation diplomatic missions - prior to this, there was only one 'written' (not randomly generated)diplomacy mission in the game. Finally we get to see the 'other half' of a Federation captains job. I played both the mystery at Bajor and the Ferengi trouble at Memory Alpha and found them engaging and very Trek-like. Kudos to this as well Devs! I had a great deal of fun not firing a shot! More please!

    3) Even though this one is 'fluff' to a lot of people, it added a great sence of immersion for me - ship interiors. Being able to leave the bridge (on the turbolift by golly!) and have "swooshing" doors open for me while walking around was terrific. Really made me feel as if I had a ship at my command . Granted it isn't perfect (the scale is still way wonky (yes, yes I know. The camera! The camera!) and of course it isn't tailored for each ship type) - but it is a huge step in the right direction! Thanks devs, looking forward to more stuff like this.

    4) and finally....the new Orion women's outfits! What can I say here except - - Meeeeoooowww!!! (welll maybe a Caitian should say that). Fantastic job here guys and gals. My Klingon captain is sending you a barrel of Bloodwine for the excellent work. Now if we could just get the Ferengi to negotiate a deal with the Orions to turn that into Risa swimwear for our Federation characters....:p

The diplomatic missions on Bajor and Memory Alpha were awesome.

These were the kind of missions I've always wanted in STO. I can understand some folks probably found them boring or tedius...but I loved them.

They are a proper change of pace from blowing stuff up (which can be fun too at times ;))

    Ship Interiors! :D

they still need a bit to become perfect,
but some of it seems already to be planned... :)

if i had to plump for one i would say the new klingon pve. ive only done 2 but they are great and i hear the others are pretty awesome

but really there are many bits i like
the new klingon faction costumes are brilliant, and with male gorn and orion coming soon i can finally kit my klingon crews out

    fluidic space looks amazing

the ability to get rid of the bottom sensory array on the deep space research vessels is a nice touch

dabo and holo leeta are cool

    holo emitters are brilliant

the diplomatic missions are fun and a nice change of pace. i want more!

Some of the things that have really made the difference for me were not mentioned in any of the update bulletins. Those were the adding of ships in the windows from ESD. The rebate for "Vulcan Love Slave VI" by one of the Ferengi suppliers. (Had me laughing out loud) The fact that I can FAIL a diplomatic mission!!! I tried to open a piece of cow dung with a laser and vaporized it. Oops! Didn't realize I was being punny the first time when I mumbled "Oh sh*t". The addition of fleet patches on my ship and personal uniform. The additional episodes and related content I expect to keep the game going. But the details that help the immersion into the Star Trek world is what I really appreciate. Dabo's a bit boring in that it's totally random with no strategy to it. I'm looking forward to sitting down at that poker table I saw in my crew lounge.

I know Cryptic is going to work functions into ship interiors so I'm going to hold off on my reviews of that till they're functioning. On that note, Cryptic...shuttlebays and shuttlecraft! There's sooooo much we can do with those! Farming, repairs, rescue ops, scientific research, runabout races....

    favourite part so far?

The fact that so much of what players have asked for has been put in.

regardless of what it actually is, as long as cryptic keep listening to what people want and try to accomodate that then they're on to a winner as far as i'm concerned!
