Objective: Destroy enemy flagship.

Both teams have a dreadnought npc flagship (Jupiter-class and VoQuv-class). These dreadnoughts can spawn small defense squadrons that have the ability to heal the dreadnought. They can only spawn these squadrons when they are out of combat. Flagships are stationary.

On the field between the flagships there are several capture points. These capture points are defended by turrets, and occasionally spawn attack fleets that attack either enemy control points or the enemy flagship. These attack fleets are not near a match for the Dreadnoughts on their own, but they prevent a defended flagship from being unassailable by players.

Victory is only attained by destroying the enemy flagship. Theoretically, this mode could go very quickly (fast uber gank of dreadnought) or it could stay stuck in an eternal stalemate. Stalemate prevention: Time limit? If it passes, the flagships attack eachother. Or: If one side racks up enough kills, the other sides flagship withdraws.

It's only vaguely like dota. But there's nothing wrong with dota style mechanics.

I haven't heard of "dota" before and I do not know how to use google or similar internet search tools on account of being lazy...

But I like the idea. A new war zone would be neat. It's the closest we have to Open PvP.

"Defense of the Ancients" is a popular mod for warcraft 3. Instead of building a base and units (traditional RTS mechanics), players control single heros. Each side has a base that spawns NPC units. These units travel along lanes and fight the other sides NPC units and defense towers. Players attempt to kill NPC units, towers, and enemy players in order to gain experienced and wealth, which they use to ultimately gain an advantage. Dota-style mechanics have also been used in "Demigod" and official Dota spinoff "League of Legends."

Any addition to PvP maps is a good one in my opinion.
