The really only thing I've noticed so far right off the bat for season 2 was this. Ramming speed. I really hate the fact it was nerfed. I enjoyed ramming npc ships but I can only guess it was prolly the result of a pvp nerf which is typically the result of the destruction of pve in the long run. Also the lack of klingon pve and federation pve. There should have been more than adequate enough pve content to carry the player to vice admiral without having to sit there and farm DSE. Or explorations. Just my viewpoints. I've been playing since april 30th. I've been happy with the game until now. I played very shortly on the test server got to vice admiral but I thought that was on the test server they might actually add more pve content in the final build. I guess not.

In every scifi series and movie ramming speed is a last-chance attack that you use when your ship's about to go down. Before the nerf people in STO used it as a standard attack.
Imagine this::
-Ramming speed on that klingon. Make it so.
-But sir, last time we lost 600 crewmembers and half the saucer.
- Make it so!
Ramming speed as a standard attack is anti-Trek and anti-starfleet because they don't like wasting lives. Plus the physics of it are wonky. An escort ramming a kling carrier or a borg cube should be flattened like a bug, but due to how ships handle in the game, the smallest ships make best rammers.

ramming speed should be a last resort, almost guaranteed to kill you attack whilst damaging or destroying the enemy. I used it all the time in pvp and it was just too powerful when used correctly. this is bringing it more into balance and treating the power in the correct way it should be used.
the reason they did not add more pve is that they cant. that is the speed they can work at. they do have weekly missions due to start in august which will help to build up the pve content over time.

In short: stupid.
i whole heartedly agree with this chaps statement, picard only used ramming in speed in Nemisis because he was about to lose the enterprise to schinzon. instaed of having his crew disintergrated into particles he took a risk a rammed the pants off the Scimitar, leaving the scimitar screwed and the enterprise un-usable.
if however if you used ramming speed in game at least your hull should go to 20 % and forward weapons should be unoperable, untill hull is returned to full strength. :eek:
oh and ramming speed would just TRIBBLE your crew up, i mean look at the state of the Enterprise when picard took the scimitars face for a joyride. Epic moment lol:eek:

Enough said. If this was your go-to move in PvE - something is up.
well my argument is why have ramming speed surely if you hit something it should cause damage. i hate that you needed to click ramming speed you should just be able to say right im going down full speed into the nearest enemy ship. when you hit things it should hurt
The only players I noticed that used that kind of tactics were the klingon players who then utilized their battle cloaks.
honestly if we're going to nerf that there's quite a few other powerful abilities we need to nerf. miracle worker and things like that.
No doubt. I cant count the number of times Klingon players got away from me doing that. It really irked me to no end. Especially when I was hit by two or three of them doing it in tandem and killing me.

That's not how physics works in space. Also, a Jem'Hadar attack ship destroyed a galaxy by ramming it.

that was actually pretty rad in itself
