Agreed. This peek-a-boo queue is absolute garbage. I'd rather be dumped into games where I'm out numbered than be flooded with the constant "queue you were offered did not have enough members" psych out.
It appears to me that this system can only work if you only allow users to queue up for one map at a time.
its just LOL, i mean sure we could wait how that works out when more people are at VA, but seriously the new system is totally crappy, and at lower levels there probably wont be any pvp anymore popping up. 30 seconds? ...dropping out of que? only half the team joining... pretty much fail as it is and in urgent need of fixing.
This is another example where Cryptic took advice about a topic from people who don't regularly participate in that community - and the new feature basically takes a TRIBBLE on those of us who actually belong to the community.
It seems PvP and Klingons, to name two specific communities, have changes driven primarily from a player community that infrequently PvPs or plays Klingon.
Cryptic really does need to find a better way to communicate to their various communities, because as it is right now they are using logic like:
After building a PvP community among Klingons for 6 months - Klingons are in dire need of PvE!
or
It sure will help the slowdown in PvP queues if we make it more difficult for PvP queues to start!
There is no good way to set up a Q pvp system. Give us world pvp. seriously.
the better solution to the queue system problem....is that you have to eliminate the queue system....quickly!!!
GIVE US WORLD PVP or at least open pvp sector space

it is the best solution, and the cheapest for them. we can make our own pvp content with a open world.... by the way, how many people can enter the ground war zones now?
Completely broken!
I have not been able to play a SINGLE PvP game since Season 2 went live.
Seriously, this is yet another reason why they should introduce a form of Open PvP ASAP!!!
Because PvP a'la Multiplayer game just does not work with MMORPG's!!!
I failed more then 20 ques today. Mostly because people seem to be too TRIBBLE to click engage but also a few times because of bugs like "no possible maps" or "you were not qued for the map". HOW LAME! I WANT AN FIX!!!!!!!
We are investigating this and looking for ways to make this better, and are certainly aware that PvP queues are not popping as they should be (I had to PvE today on my lunch break... ).
To make a long story short:
We made a change in Season 2 which was meant to prevent unbalanced teams in PvP matches. An unfortunate consequence of this change is that fewer PvP Queues are launching now because players are dropping from waiting for one queue to launch, and joining another.
We're working on finding a fix right now, which currently involves greatly reducing the number of PvP Queues and introducing a more structured PvP Queue.
I've also sent up Darren's thread on the PvP Queue UI overhaul again as well.
I'll make sure to get you all more updates as I have them.
id prefer it back to the way it was. the number of badly uneven game was fairly small. i know you are looking at ways to fix it, but unless its quick maybe just putting the old style back in until you can really perfect it

The dumbest way to deal with this would be to force players to enter the match once the game decides that there is 5v5. Just saying.
I have managed to figure it down to the actual queue probably NOT being broken.
If you notice that when you click Engage it will wait a short while and then it will respond with not enough players entered to start the match.
What I think Cryptic have done here is fixed the unbalanced PVP situation. Unfortunately there are so few people wanting to PvP that it now doesn't initiate at all.
The best way to fix this of course is to actually give PvP a meaning. Removing KvK and FvF PvP options would also be a good idea.
Of course it could still mean there is an issue with the queue system but this seems to be the most obvious explanation at the moment.
I just find it hard to believe that there are so few players in the queue. How many subscribers does this game have? How many characters are online at any given time? Is there seriously less than 100 people game-wide that want to PvP? Really? And is it really necessary to split up that 100 people by offering 20 different choices on a list?
Something just doesn't seem right. Is the system really so screwy that of thousands, tens of thousands, of subscribers that not even 10 people can click on the same button at the same time?

no question that the game lack players, but whats more important is that many feds are RPers that dont like to fight against klinks who tend to have more pvp tendencies. But it gets worse because there isnt enough people playing klink to begin with.
yeah, this is indeed a serious issue. out of 40 or so attempts in 2 days i got into 1 pvp server! on a side note i also experienced a camera bug while in pvp. as i cannot enter a pvp to recheck if it was just a 1 time event i cannot say if this is indeed a bug. every time i moved my camera it would stay in the move camera mode without access to your mouse. the only way to fix this was to hit escape but the camera issue would immediately return once you moved your camera again. anyone else having this problem?
why not have it match people 1 for 1 until the game is full.. start the game as soon as you have 1 player on each side and let another in when there's another on the opposing side.. I'd bet the maps would still fill up fast and you wouldn't be waiting on 5 other people to go in.

it can take up to an hour to get into a game where the numbers ARE NOT balanced.
you have effectively broken the only thing left in the game that I still do on a regular basis.....

I just prefer to imagine that the PvP queue coding was sub-contracted out to the Muppets Swedish Chef, hence why it's Bork Bork Borked.
Could you possibly implement a "feature" that after waiting in a queue for an hour that clicking "Engage" closes the game and sends us to the desktop?
Sorry for the double post, and I rarely use stupid internet slang but LOL

+1 vote for pretty graphics interface.

Yes, but did you do it in a nice manner? LOL.... I knew Season 2 was the right direction for Klingons.... MUWHAHAHAHAHHAHA.....
If you aren't doing it already, get all your staff back to work and fix this.... You managed to fck up a whole faction here.
