come on you know how many subscribers you have still the servers cant cope. All north americans logged on early for update and now us poor EU servers cant cope
That's not the issue at all, and we've posted regarding this several times already.
Players can expect some lag today in highly populated areas, whenever a new character logs in to the game, the game is making some changes to their character files, which is causing some lag in highly populated areas.
Additionally, some people are experiencing lag and timing out while trying to load star cluster maps. This is due to a new dynamic patching feature we're utilizing in those areas. Our patch servers are very busy patching people up to Season 2, so some of those star cluster maps are taking a little longer to properly patch. Should you time out while loading a star cluster map, when you go to log back into the game, you will be given an option to attempt to enter the star cluster map again, or to go back to a more static map. Which one you click on is entirely up to you. I have been assured that people are getting into the star cluster maps, so it is worth it to keep trying.
Please remember that this is only temporary, and things should get better, and continue to improve, as time goes on.
I don't mind too much. Full servers mean more people. More people mean more cha-ching. More cha-ching means more goodies for us players.
thats the issue tho, they are far far from full.
tho its nice to see that their QA ppl are doing their job. so far all but one mission i have done on my klingon has been bugged in one way or another, and one mission so badly i can't progress.
aye great wait 10 mins to get into an exploration map to find its an "investigate planet" level. No offence Cryptic but you guys need to give us the option of space only PVE because the ground missions aren't everyones cup of tea.....

hay StormShade is it better to stay away from highly populated areas or will it not make much of a difference I wont be home for 3 more hrs so I was just wonder the best course of action
I'm in NA and cant get on either. I keep getting error 14 connection with server lost. furthest I have gotten was 14% before it lost it. Been trying for 2 hours now. this is definitely TRIBBLE.
I was referring to the original lag issue. I myself am incredibly annoyed by this peek-a-boo PvP queue business where it keeps saying I have a match and when I click engage it tells me I'm waiting on members and then goes away.
Still, we knew from past experience that there would be issues and getting our panties all wadded up over it isn't going to make things work any smoother. I'm paying too and I'm ready to go with the flow for a bit.
[Edit] Hey, I had that issue with it closing out around 34% but fortunately when I restarted it looked like I had to start from 0% but about half way up it shot up again. What I mean to say is that it still saved the progress even though it didn't report the progress accurately at first.
You do realize that teh peop;le still patching the 2 GB+ update are not on the servers yet, but they are using a lot of patch server bandwith while they do patch, which IS what's causing the issue. If they're no online, they're patching.
Never had much issues so far *knock on wood*, the download took a while but after it was not bad at all. Really loved the ship interiors, good job cryptic.
A few minor bugs here and there could have been just the servers on full load unable to process some items

It would have been better for numerous pre-patches, but that didn't work last time either.
All I can recommend is stay away for a week while they get this wreck back on the tracks.
very disappointed.
I would LOVE that. Please, make it so!
if the game was F2P it wouldn't bother me. but as it happens we pay for this game.
and no amount of excuses will help them when it comes to such major bugs as the one i have on one of my missions.
in a P2P game i can accept the rare minor bug here and there, but not this.
they regenerate after every shot hits them.
Made the mission last longer, but in a sucky way.

I managed to stay online and play without almost 0 lagg for 2 hours...now it's time for some sleep.
It's called Starcraft II.:D
very little lag with only a 45 second wait time to get in a mission. Seems like a normal update/pacth day for any mmo.
