Season 2 should've been tested one last time regarding smoothing out the game before being sent to Live.
- Walking in ESD sounds like someone is stomping their feet down as they move.
- Server-end lag is bad, such as Rubberbanding.
- Exploration zones are still really messed up. It's annoying to wait 2 minutes for a zone to load and find it empty. Or the instant crashes (which was reported in Tribble for 2 weeks!)
Cryptic, please stop rushing things out the door, okay?

As a general rule of thumb in MMO's if you have a low patience threshold, you never log in on patch days.
But testing wise, it was rushed.
I'm not the only person in STO experiencing the same lag you know, plenty of others are rubberbanding like crazy as well.
Yeah and usually when there are less people online the lag reduces.
I agree this update was clearly rushed.. there are quite a bit of bugs and little glitches that should not be on the live server
However, there are other bugs that are troublesome. Like Exploration Maps still coming up empty (inspite of the longer loading), PvP Queues are really troublesome, and there other things here and there.
However i DO agree that the "running on a tin roof" sounds should be fixed, but now that the new content is out there, Cryptic will have a lot of time at their hands to do bug fixes and polish/tweak existing content and features. And they have said they will!
I'm much happier having some new stuff to play with while waiting for them to fix the bugs!
How the bloody hell can cryptic kill all the exploration missions. Try get on any crash crash
Cant belive what a total TRIBBLE up two days spent more time logging in then anything else. Thanks for sweet fa
This is definately the last update I resub for until they do Romulans.
Oh well atleast StarCraft is out.
Working in the industry that I do, I am fully aware that some times, it simply can't be helped, and a product has to go out, in the shape it is, with fixes and polish to be applied later. Think of Season 2 as a "Draft" with a "Final" to be submitted later.
If only I received a dollar for every woman who said that.... wait. Sorry, lost my train of thought.
Anyway, I like the new additions to the game, they're not perfect but if you can see the difference from the base game 6 months ago and now, there's a whole dang lot of improvements.
Only ***** so far is I have 1 gb update to dl, Ill have to break down pc and take to friends just to get it!~!! Quite gimped.
I play tested Tribble, and the release candidate build I had no issues with Exploration Zones. In fact, I would say on Tribble, it felt really solid and ready to go, the only thing that wasn't quite right was the Undine Fleet Action, and I don't think they have pushed it yet, for just that reason.
We can complain all we want, that fact will not change, and now the devs have to work harder to support a retail game which is incomplete. If you dont like the game as it is then its best you not renew your subscription and come back in a years time when most of the bugs will be fixed.
Now if it wasnt for the lifetime sub I wouldnt be playing the game right now due to the Legacy game. I would have waited and read reviews, and if I had then I would have read all this negative feedback and said no way. But I am glad I went for the lifetime sub, been able to see exactly how much work and effort the devs have put in and just cant wat to see the game in a years time esp when they get the user content thing going.
So imo it's wasnt Season 2 that was premature, but the whole game, but the updates and patched are helping a lot to make the game stable.
I was there too and many people were quite vocal over zone chat and in the Tribble forums regarding the Exploration zone's with it's many bugs. Like Aid Missions not rewarding (which is still occuring), Mobs not dropping loot (still happening), and some maps even now still are stubborn in loading.
