Hurley - why repost this when I already responded to you in your other thread?

Would definitely be nice for an apology for this obvious lie on Cryptic's part. But if it goes the way of every other Cryptic blunder, you'll see this thread locked and/or moved soon.

Yeah he answered it within the time i hit 'reply' and the time i hit 'post.'

Regardless, he didn't apologize for lieing. I could understand if he said "hey - I mispoke. I meant to say we base prices on development cost." But he didn't.

Bad timing man. Feel free to lock this one. I've posted a somewhat detailed rebuttal in the trekdaily thread.

Although it is nice to get some communication. You never answered my PM where I was brainstorming stat bonuses to ship parts. That hurts :p

You forgot to mention that Cryptic HATES THEIR CUSTOMERS and are TOTALLY UNREASONABLE. You should report them to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU IMMEDIATELY! Why are you still hanging around this thread? Go!

You know there is a very well defined difference between lieing and being unclear ?

I don't think that he owes an apology. He clarified what he meant. There really is no way to win, with some people in the STO community. It doesn't really matter what he said, there are people here that would villify it, no matter what. We all knew that this game would have micro transactions, well before launch. Dan clearly admitted that some of the pricing in the C-Store was off. I, for one appreciate his clarification, and his frankness about trial and error in the C-Store. We should also remember that eventhough Dan has been with the team, he has not been the Producer all this time. There is bound to be some type of learning curve, with the new responsibilities. Let's try not to be so sensitive and demand apologies for every mistake.

For any that are interested, Dan's (Excellent) response to this can be found in This Thread.

I did not take anything said in the interview as a lie. Nor do I think an applogy is needed when such a clear effort was made to clarify the matter. Additionally, and much better than an appology in my less-than-humble opinion, Dan Stahl pointed out that he is aware of the way his words came across (in said interview as well as others) and he is working on his interview skills.

A totally appropriate response, again, in my less-than-humble opinion.

gonna close this since we hashed it out in the other thread and we don't need 3 threads for this....
