PvP Scoring system

I'm relatively new to PvP, but have been enjoying the Capture and Hold scenarios.

What bothers me, though, is the damage-based scoring system. As near as I can tell, the scoreboard tracks kills, deaths, and healing only.

What I'd like to see instead is a system similar to the one used in Team Fortress 2 - admittedly a very different game, but with a similar concept. This would eliminate the existing system in favour of a point-based system.

You earn a point if:
- You destroy an opponent's ship.
- You heal a teammate for any amount (shields or hull).
- You complete a mission objective (your ship is present at a capture point when your faction assumes control of that point).

This provides equal weight to all aspects of gameplay, rather than focusing too much on destroying ships, which I believe the current system does. The weighting could even be adjusted if it's deemed necessary - for example, a capture could get you two points instead of one.
