Seriously sick of PVP.

What's the point in playing when in every round you get those bludgers who just sit at the edge of the map and wait for the instance to end. It's a load of TRIBBLE. There should be a name and shame campaign set up or a way to report them to Cryptic if there isn't already.

Too open to abuse and unlikely to shame the people that do it anyway.

With all the testing going on with 2.0 and Tribble I haven't PVP'd much in two weeks. Is this some new trend? It was not that common in May and June when I was focused on PVP. I'd see it occasionally but not much.

Well it occurs in pretty much every round now, there are one or 2 people constantly doing it. When I had a go at someone who did it the reply was 'yeah I got credit for your work awesome"

    Damn dogs.

    I really shouldn't have laughed but I did :p

Still, if it's considered bad behavior by Cryptic, admitting to it like that should help if you reported them.

Seems like it would be easy to fix. If there is no healing or damage done you get no credit. Though I am sure people would find a way around that as well. I haven't seen many people do this though.

Not a nice assumption to make, judging a whole fleet because of the actions of one member. You could try finding someone in the fleet to report the bad behavior too.

With all due respect, I really see no problem with that. PVP is an long, annoying and arduous process which quite frankly I never involved myself in wow or here. Unfortunatly some of the best equipment is avaliable through PVP awards so I see no problem what-so-ever with have to engage people that outnumber you usually as they are too scared to fight on their own. PVP is unbalanced anyway so I see no problem with going out, firing a phaser once, retreating and sitting on the edge of the field until the game ends.

The problem with that behaviour (and I say this as someone that doesn't PvPer) is that your punishing the players who want to PvPer for fun because of a bad decision on how loot is rewarded.

The trick is to get your Beaters to hit the Bludgers into the other team while your Seeker gets the Snitch.

There is a larger base of Pvp players out there that are being lost with out Open Pvp.

Creating a persistant Pvp Zone would only help benifit STO and the comunity as a whole.

I agree that the only reward for these zones should be helping to Capture the Territory for your Faction.

Other wise the person sitting in the coner will just be an observer, cuz they should not get a reward for not doing anything.

I agree that sucks, but some people enter the Warzone simply for the Pvp Aspect and not the missiion it self.

SO we need open Pvp Zones so Pvp players can separate themselves more from PvE players so we do not effect their emmersion in game play.

I really really want a neutral Zone Area One massive Instance for People to fly around in at their own risk.

No rewards. Survival would be it's own Reward! :)

I personalyl feel the rewards should be merit based. If you did the best you should get a reward. IF you did the worst no reward.

How could Cyptic regulate a system like that? Just a thought

I really like the survival award. Just think about it.

Then you could get some type of Captain Records thing that keeps the number of Enemy Player vessels Destroyed while patroling Neutral Zone.

I think the Neutral Zone should be massive and Patrol Based. Where when you go out there you have to search for the enemy, and you would be best to go into the nuetral zone only if you have a cloak or heavy numbers.

But either way you could enter at your own risk.

Actually that's how the system sorta works. The highest damage gets the most medals, while the lowest damage gets the least. Now it needs to be changed to where no damage gets you none. I'd even go as far to say you should have to hit x amount of damage, based on your rank, to even be considered for medals. I don't mean a high amount, just enough to unsure you didn't just go fire a round before going afk.

i didnt relise thats how it works , isent that kinda bias towards escort captains ? ,

anyway as far i see pvp has never been done all that well in any mmorpg with a big pve game , and i can understand how tempting it must be to go hide in a corner instead off bein thrashed all the time by klingon premades . its no fun dieing over and over to people who are specifically set up to pvp when running a daily ,

these pvp fleet guys are there own worse enemy they continually gank average joe till he says TRIBBLE this and either dosent bother anymore or goes into his corner and then the pvp ers have the balls to whine theres no one to play with

PvP is the best place to park and browse the STO forums.

I say talk to the Klingons in your instance and tell em to gank the players who are sitting on the sideline.

Thats just cutting off your nose to spite your face. Whaat sto needs to institute is a system like WoW, so that you can report battleground players afk, if they haave not moved, done damage, etc. then they get nothing, eventually being removed from the bg' and replaced by another player.

They can't in the capture and hold maps. The stations are almost impossible to successfully attack.

After deciphering this mess, its clear you don't PVP at all.

PVP unbalanced lol spoken like a true PVP noob.
