Well I must say, I am dissappointed to say the least. I spent a fortune to download Tribble last night and then when I finally get to log-in what do I find - nadda! The queues are empty. There is nothing going on. Not a single ship other than myself on the map. No-one responded to my chats, and when I went in search of the Klingon content and customisation I found two etchy scenarios and a fur-coat. I am not holding my breath. Where are the Developers they said would be online???
What do you expect? That the devs will be on 24/7? That it is mandatory for every subscriber to go to tribble so that you can chat? World's not revolving around you:rolleyes:
Tribble is a TEST server for players to look for, and then report Bugs found during Game play. It is not set up just for PVP Que lines to develop in. There are a lot of New types of missions, and although I have not seen them, a couple of New Sectors, and those content items need to be run through multiple times to see if they are clean to play for future transfer to Holodeck.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah Tribble is a rip off!!
O btw there is something called spell check, when the words have red lines under them it means they are usually spelled wrong!!

Plenty of players own tribble last night arouns 4pm-10pm cst.
As I understand it, Playing on Tribble, and reporting back any findings you may turn up is completely Voluntary. There is no obligation to play on it, or to send back any reports of issues you may find. At least no one has put a gun to my head yet anyway.
I think both his...and the replies...are all incorrect and unfounded.
Ok, first he talks about the download costing so much.
He could be australian: we are over charged for the worst internet deals in the world. Many places still do not have broadband via cable, but can get wireless with deals like 1gb for 30 bucks...yeah rip off. And there is no such thing as unlimited download for australians either.
So, people dissing him there, don't count. He's complaint there is true.
So, lets then look at how he cancels himself out.
Downloading all tribble files create a public test folder in your STO game directory. These updated files are used when the game goes live to holodeck, to speed up holodecks own patching.
So with season 2, if you have all of season 2 from tribble, you'll likely only be downloading 100mb by the time it goes LIVE.
Yes holodeck will say like 3.0 gig to patch. But, it'll patch fully in 5 minutes + the 100 meg or so additional download.
So if you downloaded tribble and are complaining...don't. You won't have to download all those files again when patching 2.0 for holodeck. You basically patched yourself in advance.
AKA you were going to have to download all that next week anyway. You just did it earlier.
It is not like your going to able to keep the character. Last time I log on was to check the new ships that are in space dock. Most people are just resting for the big leveling push.

From what was posted, I would venture to guess there is a Pay Per Minuet IP involved. or at least a Volume Usage Fee.
well if that is the case then he should of researched and learned how to copy over the game so you save time.
Somehow Cryptic talked us into not only testing their software and telling them about all the bugs...
We are paying to do it!
And since it's the only content that's come down the pipe in awhile...
I'd say that was marketing genius!
