More alien customization options for every faction and the beginings of adding a third faction (assuming the upcomng Klingon content is enough to somewhat get Klingons up to par with the federation)
Following the Dev's patterns I Predict that Session 3 will be massive content being developed for the Federation storyline with the Klingon's getting almost nothing. Possible the release of the Romulans for game play with their storyline being as borked as the Klingon's.
I would assume new ships and missions for both the feds and the klingons as well as a more refined pvp system. I dont think there will be a new faction any time soon though if at all . I think the Klingons will get alot in season 3 but the calls for more will never stop since they will also add alot to the feds so they still wont be equal:o. But overall I think we will see a big improvement.
Reman Mercenary BOs claimable by either faction, with mercenary gear as their default outfit, similar to the Borg BO's unique costume. (And I think this will start the process of mercenary BOs being placed on the C-Store in mercenary gear costumes. You'll probably also see the EMH from Recruit-a-Friend, more Borg BOs and maybe Starfleet Marines/MACOs.)
Hopefully, Season 3 will bring more growth to Klingon and Fedeartion factions. I for one am a Klingon lover who is not bashing for equality with Fed content, just that it is made easier to get to max level than present. When I got RA5 I did it with loads of quests to spare. I don't think devs should bother with that kind of equality, and just help Klingons get to max with less of a grind than is currently.
I don't think a new faction will be introduced in Season 3. I think Cryptic will stabelise what they've done and create a better foundation giving themselves more opportunity for intrudcing a 4th faction (dare say Romulans) with good content and quality that will intrigue many to stay/return to the game in Season 4
Also, Worf returns and brings an alliance with the Feds. Bring on the Rommies and Cardassians ^^

Theres no need for a Federation Cardassian Captain when the elements needed for Cardassians are already on the custom alien creator.
So Leviathan, completely unrelated topic, but ... have you been on Tribble much the past couple of weeks? Done any testing? New story arc content or anything?
I think after Cryptic felt the fury from the CO guys about the paid-for content coming to a game that was released lacking content they got the message and changed their business model. I dont see any paid-for mission packs coming any time soon.
I thought they already confirmed that no space combat, but starships will be player housing?
They released info where each person gets a ship equivalent to housing, it was unknown if space combat would be available at launch or later as a patch, expansion, etc...

I can definitely see some groundwork for BO story arcs with the ship interiors and the logic systems for the dialogue.
My prediction for S3: UGC available in the C-Store!
Back in Beta, I'd considered this as an idea.
Basically, have an advanced form of player driven UGC that gets sold in the C-Store and the designer gets a cut in Cryptic Points. That way, you provide an in-game way to earn C-Store points.
I think it would need to be something extra special, however, as players need free UGC to learn the system and get acclimated to it.
But maybe as an advanced form of UGC that's been through Cryptic QA and has more features, sure.

Really? This was a joke. I can't imagine how angry people would be if Cryptic asked us to pay for stuff that the players make for the game.
I wouldn't be surprised though. They'll announce it on a Friday.

I wouldn't put it past marketing to try one more time...after all, they seem to think Trekkies are a lot more gullible than comic fans are.

That's more of a Season Four plan. They plan to milk as much as they can before going F2P.
Smells like trials of Obi-Wan, and then BAM NGE!!!
FYI =NGE BABY!
"Another major update called the "New Game Enhancements" (abbreviated as NGE) was implemented on 15 November 2005, kept secret from the players until 24 hours upon release, and created huge demonstrations in game from the majority of players, and became available in retail on 22 November 2005 as the Star Wars Galaxies: Starter Kit.[39] Major changes included the reduction and simplification of professions, simplification of gameplay mechanics, and Jedi becoming a starting profession. Media outlets such as CBS News, New York Times, New York Post and Wired Magazine criticized the reduced depth and complexity of the game.[40][41][42][43][44], but John Smedley, president of Sony Online Entertainment, defended the decision claiming it necessary to revamp the game in order to reverse the deterioration they were seeing in the subscriber base.[45] SOE offered refunds on the Trials of Obi-Wan expansion due to it being released two days before the NGE was implemented." - Source:Wikipedia SWG
The thing is, I have a LTS, so if this all goes bad, at least in 2 years I can try to log in and see if I still have access.... which by then, if another company buys it up, my LTS is junk, and I have to go subby like the rest again.

No Klingon content at all, because no Klingons are left.
Also, hopefully, an open PvP sector and more Klingon content. I'm not so sure about those two, though, unfortunately.
The Nexus Ribbon as a mission arc...
... And Worf appears Klingon-side.
And an expansion that's going to be sold...
And a lot of outrage on the forums...
And a lot of people leaving the game...
And a lot more TRIBBLE on the C-Store...
Oh, and I'm sure some pretty cool updates. Season 1 was a good update and Season 2 is looking that way as well.
I doubt that.
But I will toss out three C-Store predictions:
Federation Cardassian Captain.
Klingon Kzinti Captain.

Star Wars: The Old Republic - space combat confirmed.
Heh.

Nope. Comic Con announcement. Check it out.
They released info where each person gets a ship equivalent to housing, it was unknown if space combat would be available at launch or later as a patch, expansion, etc...
at this point, I am becoming more and more doubtful.
.
Same's true with Federation Klingons.
It will amount to a slightly wider neck and maybe a new racial or two. Which is why I think it will happen.
