this is what i would call "functionality"
you press a button / object and something happens !
it helps role playing. it makes me believe that this is an actual ship, even if there are things that have functions that are completely useless, like activating a forcefield in the transporter room.
Open a Laptop Screen on the Desk.
I do not want a small / middle / big "layout"...
OK Make one generic Layout that is 100% customizable... with all the parts and pieces that will follow.
kind of like the Alien Race custumization.
...then make the canon ships.
i want a Sovereign Class / Galaxy Class / Defiant Class / Intrepid Class "Layout" with the appropriate rooms, hallways and looks of the Ships we know from the Shows!
Once that is done you can start adding more generic rooms.... and C-Store Bridges ...and what not.
What i see on Tribble looks to me like a pre alpha build of something that is a concept of something that just isn't there yet.
This is the FIRST part that can turn this game into something remotely feeling like an "Open World", even if it is not a persistant one.
The next parts would be OpenPVP Space and Ground areas, BIG Planets with multiple Questlines instead of "beam down do X beam up done, next Planet next Quest."
BUT the one thing you have to beat to IMPRESS your playerbase is doing something better then seen in that Video from that almost 10 year old game.
