Can someone tell me IF in tribble or or or - heard what is to be done about grandfathered consoles.

I know it was talked about in the past - Cryptic and said something of a 'deal' for folks with these.

Half of my consoles (bank and Ships) fall under this category and it is of a concern to me.

CRYPTIC - Whats up with this???

Grandafthered science consoles will be adusted (= skill / 2) and called prototype consoles. Their base EC value will be multiplied, but you can cash them in on DS9 at Quarks for serious amounts of latinum.

OK so what are these then - I don't play the mini-games

I guess it would be nice IF a CRYPTIC dev/rep would post a answer

Latinum is the "real" money for many transactions in the world outside the Federation and the KDF. Ferengi use it as primary currency.

You can use latinum not just for mini-games, but to buy stuff. Currently that's nothing combat-relevant. We'll see what they will add next. Currently you can get Holoprojectors that turn the looks of your ship into that of another (non-player ship, like a Breen warship or a Freighter). Not combat-relevant except maybe for confusion purposes perhaps?
