New Content- All In One Patch Or As Its Made

Very simple questions.

In terms of missions, would you prefer content to hit in big updates like season 2.
ie 8 klingon eps, 5 high end eps, new fleet action, etc etc

or would you prefer they release content as they make it so we get a steady stream of stuff but no major episode updates. (Big things like new factions and major changes to game-play like UGC would still need big season patches.)

I'm not sure this would change cryptic's release policy but I'm curious if people would prefer to see something new every week or every two weeks or if we like huge amounts dropped on us in one go to make it feel more substantial?

Thoughts.

This question is already answered... we get both. Weekly missions and larger content patches like future Seasons.

I'd prefer it to be released as it's made, at least there'd be a steady stream of stuff to do other than dailies. Can't wait to try the weekly episodes

not really, i asked what people wanted to see happen not what is, and whilst we are getting weekly missions, that is not set in stone past this first group of 6 missions. so which do you prefer?

i know the weekly missions start august, but we have yet to see them and if they are as complex as story missions or more simpler like first contact, diplomacy or exploration missions.
Will they continue to make them whilst still building up the more substantial content missions for season release, or will they adopt the method and do all episodes on a 'as they are made' basis.

they also said they would base there continued use of weekly missions on our feedback, if we hate them then they go.
so im just trying to gauge a little pre launch feel for what people want to be added to our feedback after they start

Much depends on the amount of patch I must download for each change.

Trying to do continuous feed stuff is almost impossible from an organizational standpoint. Most notably it would result in non-stop context switches for the QA and production teams, which would reduce their productivity to near nil. Even if we release content slowly (like the weekly missions) it still really has to be made up front in chunks. We have been looking to use automated testing to reduce the impact on the QA team, but its still a long way off given the complexity of the systems >_<

fair enough, i assumed it was easier to do it in big chunks, hence the reason you do it that way now but was just hoping a stream of content might still be feasible. thanks for the quick response

Not possible, all content need to be thoroughly tested, and still we see bugs when we get our hands on them.

People who work with SAP ERP system know how it rolls :p

I like the big patches, with smaller chunks in between. Its like the small ones are breakfast and lunch, and the big one is dinner. mmmmm.... dinner....
