Need a more visible cursor

Maybe it's just me, but I find that during combat I lose track of my mouse pointer; wasting valuable seconds locating it so I can click on something. Any chance, we can get more high visible pointers at some point?

I could agree and many poeple have odne so allready.

personnaly I don't have any trouble with it, but I play so much games that I just know where it is even if I cannot see it. (bad isn't it?)

That little spec is sometimgs hard to see. A nice Blue for Feds and Red for Kingons or oever better let you chouse the color.

This has been a big deal for me because for a lot of my hot keys I still use me mouse to click them, it's easier than binding a hundred and one alt numbers to my key board.

But it isn't that the mouse is hard to see, some times it just goes POOF! It's not that you can't see it because it's got some cloaking device some times it actually just disappears until you jiggle the frack out of it.

Honestly, I've never played a game or used an any program with a Graphic User Interface where the mouse just fizzles out like that with out warning, so why is it that this seemingly perfected technology is suddenly so hard to master? Just make it work! Mouse pointed have just worked "because they do" for hundreds of years, why suddenly have a non-beta program where the mouse just poofs on you?

    I agree with this.

I have noticed the mouse does infact seem to disappear at points, usually in fights and it can be a real pain..
Not sure why it does it but the first few times I thought it was my eye-sight.

I demand this poster be flogged at dawn for such comments!

In all seriousness it's all too easy to lose track of the cursor and as has been mentioned it does seem to disappear at the worst moment possible. It's worse on away missions where the base is using lots of grey coloured textures because that cursor blends in far too much when a fast reaction is needed. It happens in space to a lesser degree but the fact it happens at all and has been brought up by quite a few people in the time I've been playing must count for something.

I second that very much OP.
I also lose the cursor quite often and it´s freakin annoying.
A change has been requested several times already and nothing happened.

It's also been happening to me. Maybe because I pla at high resolutions where the cursor it's pretty small. It would be nice to change the size or maybe the colour. Its grey and it's confused on ground missions, not as in galaxy missions where the black background makes it easier to see.

Hope it would be an option on next patch...

    Paz y larga vida!!!!

agree with op, good point and well written. the curser is not only very small but sometimes due to its size and colour it can get lost in certain areas where there hundred of little grey asteroids and stars and in the heat of the moment u think to yourself, wtf has it gone aaaa.

i would also love them to let us use G keys from logitc products. i have no idea if z-boards have the same probs but if they do then maybe them sorted too.

Sometimes it happens to me that I lose the cursor. It has been asked many times to give us a choice from 3 or 4 cursor variants, yet this simple update seems to be beyond Cryptic's abilities :(

There is a perfect fix for your mouse problem. There are bright colored, single sized and double sized cursors floating around.
If you want the cursor fix, it is just a pm away.
If you don't want it, you don't really need it. And if you don't need it, why do you nag the devs about it?

I play at 1920*1080 and the cursor is tricky to see, although it does actually vanish completely some times.
An option to customize the cursor would seem a small thing to include.
