Boarding PVP

Perhaps later around 3rd season (When STO feels pretty comfortable with itself and game play) What about adding in a boarding system for players in PVP? Like, the Klingons beam over to a specific part of the ship, EX: Engineering, or a holodeck(A little screen would pop up, with a few buttons that would show the Location). Then the captain of the boarded ship would be thrown into ground combat, their ship piloted by an NPC. So they would beam onboard with there away team, and of course, you'd have officers all over the ship, but they could head up to the bridge, and do one of two things one: Sabotage the ship, causing your ship to fail, and it'd take a few minutes to restart it, or hijack it. Where basically you'd be thrown to a non-vital system, or into the brig, and eventually have to retake the ship, while the enemy player just beams onto their ship and begins to fight again, while an NPC uses your OWN ship against your allies. After that, you have to take back the ship, which would only have a few enemies on it, and take back control of it. Though, to board your ship, they would need to have lowered your shields on atleast two sides.
So basically: A boarding system, with sabotage, or hijacking. Beaming onto a specific location of the ship with an away team, and taking it over, using it to fight against your allies. Then retaking the ship with the help of your crew.
Added: The Captain of the ship would be informed, and could either let an NPC pilot his ship, with much less of a player's touch, but it'd still fight, or they could stay and fight, but not fight back on ground.

And the rest of the space combat is paused so the boarded ship will not be destroyed from the outside? Cue up for some ground combat and pretend.

Essentially that's what's happening when you send the "Boarding Party" shuttles after an opponent in PvP. Only in quick time ... ie. fast enough to still be a viable power in Ship to Ship combat. It would be very difficult to implent what you are suggesting due to the fact that ground combat and moving through a ship takes time. The Ship to ship battles in this game are ridiculously quick in some cases and a BO will not pilot your ship like you would. You probably wouldn't have anything to beam back to.

No, if you read the post, I said space combat would continue as normal, but you could either stay to FLY the ship, or fight on ground to take out the enemy ship, plus, this is pretty complex tech, if it is implemented it'd be implemented in season 3-5, not season 2.

It would be pretty difficult, but also, your ships in STO get blown up all the time, I really don't see the logic in your ship blows up, and you just respawn, so if your ship dies, it'd respawn as an NPC, like before, and go back to the fight. Lastly, yes, a BO would not pilot your ship like you could. Exactly why I said this.

Though, this is very, very complex tech, and would take a lot to program, it might make it in some season. So I just hope it will.
